Maybe Charlie will show up, hes on the left coast. .
Yup just fed horses after falling asleep to some dumb movie, time to go to bed bed. Jillion stars out.

Same here, no micro. Hate those things. Hot water thaws things out just fine.

Nathan, I've had some filet that is kind of gamey/liver like so I know what you mean. It can be hit and miss. But a good one is awesome and you can truly cut it with a fork.

The regional volume grocery chain here does a meat sale spring and fall and I pack the freezer. NY's are my fav so I buy a whole loin - about 40-50 bucks, slice 1 1/4" and get 12 steaks. One a month. 4 mins a side and a perfect med rare (I only turn once. Chef's told me too much turning dries them out and are tougher). I can't eat a whole 16 ozer unless I pig out, so it makes two meals for about $4. Great steak!

Might have one tomorrow - or the next day. I've been running over budget and spending into the next month's allotment for food and gas before cash flow hits. So this month I hunkered down and haven't been to town for 2 weeks. Out of milk (made cornbread w/o), cheese, wine, just had enough produce for tonight, only a couple of eggs left, been splitting my King Arthuritis pills in half to stretch (and I've been feelin' it.) Grammy's out of grain. So tomorrow its stock up day and get to have a few of my favorite spring Doppelbach's at the brew pub.

lol I guess Missouri has some clay too. When I was younger, the kid's dad across the street took us to 'circle track'. And it was a clay/mud oval stock cars that was really fun. The neighbors had all kinds of cool cars - even an Aqua car for a while. Drive to the boat ramp and... keep goin! lol

In StL our house had a basement but the house was on a sloping hill. So from the front it looked like a single story, but from the back like a two story.
Contractors out here call that a 'daylight basement'.

Kitchen project. Homemade chili with shredded beef, made cornbread (with a non milk recipe - turned out fine), then watched 'The Other Guys' on starz. Then feel asleep to some other dumb program.

Fun woke up to my fire radio going off letting us know we were under a tornado warning. Serious storm came through and had a stroganoff rotation about 15miles north of us. They are reporting 100mph winds at 1200' in that storm. Passed now but good lord it was nasty for a few min.

I have a favorite spoon. My first bachelor spoon from 1976 at 20 in my first pad overlooking the ocean in Manhattan Beach. I love it for midnight cereal. Bummer... no milk or I'd have some now. lol
Then I have a favorite wine glass I bought on a winery tour when I was a bachelor again in 96. Only for special occasions.
Then for happy hour I have my parents bar glasses from their 25th. I drink whisky on the rocks but for some reason like it in a Collins glass. Two ice cubes, three fingers. Only Canadian.
No favorite plate though. But then again, I'm average weight.

I'm pissed this morning. We have been in this office for 2 years and for those 2 years, I've been parking in the same spot every day. Nobody is around when I pull in in the morning. It's the farthest spot, on the end of the row. About 6 months ago we had new tenants move in and there is a guy with a nice new Wrangler. He sees my car there EVERY morning, he's waved and said hi many times, seen me getting out of my car or going to it. This morning, I pull in and he's in my spot.....no other cars around and he's in my freakin spot. Now I know it's not really "my spot", it doesn't have my name on it or anything, but ****....how freakin rude. The pic is kind of hard to see with the glare, but you get the idea. Rant over :\

Thanks guys. There's widespread dmg all over central AL. Everything around us to the north is running wide open wig trees down and damaged houses. Nothing in our area and the adjoining dept that we have mutual aid with. Apparently the area my ex's grandparents live in has been hit hard. They are ok but just said lots of dmg.

It would be an underground swimming pool.

Sirloin! That's a chick steak. T-bone definitely. At minimum I get a strip, but never sirloin. Thats like going to a steak house and ordering road kill.

Road kill=chopped beef for you Canadiens.
