Well, let's hope that all they are dealing with are power outages if anything.

Thanks guys! I'm really proud of him! He's been working really hard to get in shape. For the last few months he's been getting up at 5am Mon - Fri and going to the gym to work out with his recruiter before school. He's lost about 30 pounds. He won't leave until October for Ft. Benning where he will do his training.

In the now 7 years ive been a firefighter, ive never seen my cheif prepare this much for a storm. We made sure all equipment and trucks were gased up, all lights are with fresh batteries. extra radio batteris are on charge, all gear ready to go adn told us to pack our duffles in case we have an extended stay. asked us with atv's to ensure they are gased up and running as well.
If it means anything, my cheif was a LT at concord fire and resque when the april 8th storm came through and took out the whole oak grove and concord area. 2 of their stations were destroyed in taht storm.
I aint gonna lie, its got everyone a bit on edge. hell im backing up all my data to a portable hard drive now just in the event i have to bug out or something.

a) just using a lot of common sense,
b) is one of those people that 'feels' weather coming in their bones,
c) has some serious Dorothy and Toto dreams/issues,
d) he's a descendant of the Wizard of Oz.
I'm thinkin' d.
(Just trying to inject some humous on a tough day. Chief made a good call!! )
I will buy Jack Stands!!!
I picked up a memory foam mattress cover from my friend's house so I'm gonna cut that up, throw it on the truck seat and then put a seat cover on the seat. Tempur Pedic seat? HELLZ YEAH!
Nope
****ty day all in all. Cordova has been leveled, a small old town north west of me, birmingham has major damage as well as other areas between me and there. tuscaloosa has alot of damage as well. Cullman has been rocked over and over including a major tornado that was caught on tower cams for like 10min while it was in downtown cullman. And there is still more coming.
We are just waiting the word, our cheif is checking with concord now to see if they are requesting assistance since hte majority of the storms are passed.

Few thunderstorms rolling through. Hope we hear something from Lee and Willie soon. Not to mention Gary, where has he been all day? I didn't hear anything about bad weather in TX did anyone else?
