BJ's usually cure that. Mrs Gary might just have to take one for the team.

I've installed an Alpine receiver (Alpine CDE-HD148BT) and 4 JBL GX862 5"X7" OR 6"X8" 180W 2-WAY speakers in the car. It sounds good so far but could use a little more power to make the speakers work. I'm waiting on a KTP-445A - Alpine 4-Channel amp to round out the system at 45 watts RMS power by 4 channels. I'm hoping this will do the trick without adding a subwoofer.
I would like a SA-8 V.3 D4 - Sundown Audio 8 500W RMS Dual 4-Ohm SA Series Subwoofer but as Nathan says it would probably make the car rattle.

The 4 speakers won't be enough. The amp will help nicely but you will miss that low end now that the mids and highs are that much better. It happens to me every time in every car I've ever done.

That's exactly what's on my mind. I put my home sub in the trunk and plugged it into the wall just to get an idea of what I might be missing out on. 1500 watt sunfire junior sub filled it up nicely but it was to far to the back. I was thinking of an under seat sub or under the dash sub to balance it out. My doors don't have the 8 inch subs in them. I'm thinking that plus the shaker in the trunk is what ford used originally to balance it out.

On a beach somewhere. As long as he's ok that's all that matters.

Even a 250WRMS 10" in the trunk will help immensely. Doesn't need to make a ton of noise, but it'll definitely help round things out.

Could even try a powered sub. Something like the Infinity Basslink, if they still make those. Simple install and will fill in the lows for you.

So I volunteered to be this years pooper scooper at our local parade with another church member of ours. While I'm waiting for the parade to start Jeff Penske and Helio Castroneves walk by and talk to us. Yep just another day at small hick town America. Penske just purchased our Ford dealership and apparently Helio was with him for what reason I don't know other than they were both in the parade. Of course no pics of them but here is one of our wicked ride!

The amp did the trick and it couldn't have been easiest. Direct plug in. Much more base.
