Do you mean that the piece between the headlight and grille, which is usually body-colored, is black?

 

Yeah, like seen on the 2010 GT.

Not sure if I like that look yet. It does mesh the front end together, compared to having the painted 3 inches between the lights/grille

The GT glamour shot looks to have a black shroud around the grill opening.
Those pictured are GT500s (that will be painted for sure to accent the nosecone)
and the V6...

Even GT spyshots may still have it body coloured as the shroud isn't on it.

I think the photo you listed under the "GT" caption is, in fact, a V6 model. It has a single exhaust pipe, is devoid of fog lights and the fascia -- at least what we can see of it -- is more akin to the newer crop of V6 spy shots (like the Autoweek shot of the blue car).

I think the blacked-out front on the GT will end up looking awesome!

+1 on the black out, it will break up the car nicley imo.

 

I just want the hood. But the rest is real nice.

Note the black in the grille AND in the lower grille.

Looks a bit weird with the body colour + black shroud on the bottom.

 

Yep, that looks like a GT package to me.

I hope the blackouts make it to production, be it as the GT or just an option, because IMO it gives the front a really cool look.
