Even the round vents look to be of higher quality than the current generation which looks like the Pontiac Vibe. Circa 2003.

 

Not crazy about round vents and square vents......? Need one or the other IMO.

I think they where trying to re-create the Rhythm of the 70s dash. if you look at this picture you can see what i think they where looking at when they designed the new dash.

 

Looks like they were right on the info setup and reset being under the light controls on the far left...thats pretty cool spot for them i think

nice but not what i was expecting, there have been enough leaked pictures of the interior to get a good feel for what the production will look like. i was hoping for more exterior shots but there is bound to be another 5-10 spy shots this week.

 

What if those spy shots in the cars they were showing us were just a throw-off...to some degree ???

Aha!! Notice the buttons below the headlight switch; they are now the info system controls (Info/Setup/Reset).

There was speculation earlier as to what these were; now we know...

 

Notice also the triangular speaker cover on the upper part of the door. Think this is the clearest we've seen this, too, is it not? Looks nicely integrated into the door panel, IMHO...

 

Hoping theres a trunk release on the drivers door... or in the center console..cause there isn't one on that left side by the lightswitch.... grrrr

Maybe that's a good thing... wouldn't want to open the trunk accidently while pressing 'INFO'

i do not believe that is the door speaker, if you look closer when blown up you can see the chrome bezel where the current speaker is now.

this is defintiely growing on me more and more, i hope that the quality is better then my mustangs of past. love my stangs but the center console to dash line and other trim in my 03 cobra did not line up for crap.

wasn't it mentioned that this new interior is a different material that is soft to the touch?

 

Here's the center stack. Looks like it's going to be difficult to switch head units. I really want to see what that next-gen nav screen looks like in there!

 

Maybe the trunk release will be incorporated into the lock button like on the Grand Prix? Press and hold unlock until it releases the trunk. Even if the button was below the headlight switch and you accidentally pushed while going down the road I'm sure it wouldnt open.

 

yea the nav screen is what i really want to see as well.

 

There's 2 speakers in each door.
The lower one with grille being the Woofer
Theres usually one just below the mirror
