What did you do with your Mustang today?
#6261
It goes without saying that your Mustang is one of the nicest and most popular on the forum. But your buddy's Shelby is very hot looking too. I love the no-stripe look. It just looks mean, sinister, and evil. Hide your daughters when you see this in your 'hood.

At one point, I keep thinking I'd do a matte gray/silver stripe sometime...but I can't bare to cover up any part of my perfect paint

But after seeing so many black Mustangs with stripes, I liked the idea that mine should be naked. I guess that's why Darren's friends Shelby made an impression on me. It looks a bit like mine, but I don't have the snakes.

Thanks Tom. His car is gorgeous! I almost bought one a year ago as a second car before deciding to build a new house instead. Decided another vert wasn't a good idea too. it also goes without saying there's a mutual admiration society among us lol!

Ron nice! I hope that trophy isn't resting on your paint though!

Yesterday ...
Cleaned/polished all the crap off the top grille using Blue Magic metal polish.
I absolutely love this product now, it did an awesome job, the top grille used to look just like the bottom one.
Not gonna do the bottom piece since it's getting replaced soon by the Roush grille delete
Removed the club decal for the club that I was a part of, from the left side of the RTR panel. This is the first step in a re-design which will see the "5.0 supercharged" decal move from the right to the left and a custom new decal will be on the bottom right. More details on that later.

Good-bye Plasti-Dip.
One down, one to go.
Plasti-Dip removed, then used Wolfgang cutting compound, Wolfgang finishing glaze, then Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.
It's shiny and smooooooooth

Earlier today, I took the pony to BJ's in Hudson to fuel her. An older gentleman driving a 7 series BMW was at the pump across from me. He told me he had a Mustang he bought when he went through his "mid life crisis"... I told him I didn't have a mid life crisis, as I haven't grown up yet!
PS: he complimented me on the car, and his BMW was nice, too.
Wifey came home from visiting her aunt at the Cape; we went out to lunch.
PS: The gas station at BJ's Wholesale Club is selling 93 Octane $3.79 a gallon. Everywhere else is $4.05 to $4.15 a gallon.

Just went ahead and removed that 5.0 supercharged sticker, then applied compound/finish-glaze/paint sealant to the whole panel, to get rid of the ghosting that was from the decals.
Now just the pony is back there, and I do like it a lot.
Also, just re-installed the un-dipped hood vents:
