Played with some plastic dip, should I keep it on or take it off? There's several cars here like mine, soo I'm trying to be a little different.

Dip is removed lol. There's several cars here the same color and wanted to change it up a bit. Didn't wanna spend a lot to do it either since I'm planing on buying a new stang within a couple years. Guess ill just leave her alone, thanks guys

I think it was a good idea, but plastidip looks hard to lay down. If it was a vinyl stripe, it would look 10x better. I would say practice with the dip until you can lay it down evenly then go at it again. Props to you for having the kahones to do your hood!

^ not sure if it's so much the quality of the dip process, but just more so the appearance and design aesthetic itself. Imo, the car is beautiful as is.

Appreciate it! I will admit the dip could of been done better, I didn't remove the tape quick enough and got rough edges here and there. And its thin in places but I only had maybe one and a half coats on it so I'm sure it would've looked better if I fallowed through. Was just wanting some other opinions before I got too serious with it.

If you're going to do large areas with 'dip, you really need to use a proper paint gun, the rattle cans don't cut it.

That's why I think a vinyl one would look better. And like Joey said, rattle canning it is a little much for that area. Those cars do have good lines, but it needs something to set it off. Lowering with silver fr500's would do it very nicely if he didn't want to do the hood blackout again!

Well.. I'd honestly hate to spend a lot of money on the car fixing it up, its my daily driver and its gettin quite a bit of miles. I do take good care of her, keepin her clean and well maintained. But it is 12 years old, I do plan on buying a new mustang in a year or two that will be where my extra money goes. Just gotta decide if I want a 2015+ or an older Gt (11-14), possibly a Shelby.

Congrats gabe!!! You got your kit! Also I noticed that you have a box of the pinnacle Clay. Did you get that in accord of my recommendation as well? . You'll be happy. However I should have told you that I now use clay pads instead of clay bars. I use the one from Chemical Guys specifically.
