Sitting on the balcony a bit ago and a couple of F-22 raptors came by really low and had the wick turned up hot, they were moving ON! Barely heard a sound until they were already gone by, and then that crackling thunder hit and by then they were long gone.

I'm a firm believer in freedom through superior fire power, lol.

I tell him on a regular basis how lucky he is so he doesn't forget. I've told him many times that when he wakes up in the morning, goes to his fancy private school, goes to practice in the evenings, hikes all over Montana, Wyoming, etc. hops in the pool or whatever hes doing, that there is a long list of people that have laid down their life to make sure he gets to do those things and that we can live like we live.

Hell, I told him that his great grandpa spent 30 years trying to drink enough to wash away the memories of what he saw and went through. I guess its hard to ever trust a man again when you've been shot at, blown up, burned, stabbed, you name it, every ****ing day for years. I guess it has a profound effect on a guy when you can't even take a shet without someone trying to kill you.

I usually feel pretty bad for those people working at the cheaper chain restaurants where the bill is only $60 or so. So I usually tip a little better at those just because those people are getting screwed as it is. A nicer place with $100-200 bill I will usually just put up my 20% unless my experience is exceptional.

I'm not a gambler either. I really kinda despise it. But I love the convenience of staying at the casino. Food and booze and I don't have to get on the road after. Just stumble to the room. The poker bar is a great deal though. I can drop a $10 or $20 in the poker machine at the bar, bet one quarter at a time and the tender gives me drinks all night as long as there is money in that machine. Can usually stretch that out for hours. I can't even buy my own for the room for that cheap. I usually tip the bar tender pretty well though. Drinks seem to get better and more frequent. Lol

I always tip bar tenders well, especially when I'm sitting at the bar talking to them. The better you tip, the stronger the drinks get, lol. Got a bar/restaurant here on the pool deck, I like that so I don't have to leave to eat and drink. Just walk down and don't have to worry about driving. Lady that tends the bar down there is excellent. Have known her for quite a few years, on a first name basis with her. I always tip her well, so she makes sure to mix them like I like. Makes these margaritas that will **** you up bad. 1800 gold, poured DEEP then the lime juice, triple sec, etc. then she floats the whole top with Grand Marnier after she mixes it. They're like $14 but she usually just charges me $10 and I always take care of her. Got ****ed up down there a few months ago and ended up leaving her a $50 tip on a $30 tab, I think I had 5 or so and she only rang up 3. Plus I get a 20% discount with my owner's card.

I haven't had a drink in a few weeks, I'm always working. Can't wait till next week. Should get bit pretty easily by then. Beautiful cars all day and drinkin all night. And no wife and kids for two days. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Lol

The oldest boy isn't going? I figured he'd like that, plus hes getting to be a young man now isn't he? Just about old enough to where you can share a drink with him on the down low and tell him not to say anything to mom, lol

Lot of freakin' people here this week. Odd for this late in the year.

No he's not. This is "my" vacation every year. I usually come home for the weekend and bring the boys back up Saturday for the day but this year the oldest has his first homecoming dance to go to. He's become a stud overnight it seems. He literally had his pick of freshman girls to ask to the dance and a line of little girls chasing him. How can I get him to concentrate on studies with all that going on? He's got a couple girls that won't leave his side that he says might be "girlfriend material" is a couple more years. Damm I'm in trouble.

Oh yeah, you've got problems brother, lol. How old is he now? Seems like yesterday he was just a little guy.

Hell, my oldest little nephew I'm going to see next week is probably even worse. Just started 7th grade last month and has already had 4 girlfriends! And a couple of them have been to the house for a cook out, and spent the ****ing night! (in the spare room of course) but hell, are you actively trying to have someone get pregnant?!?! Hell, things have really changed since I was a 7th grader many moons ago. And what kind of parents let their daughter spend the night at a boy's house? I mean I know they're not going to let anything happen, and I know you and her parents are friends that hang out together, but still, **** man!

Agreed.
He's 14 now in 9th grade. Went from a school that had 3 girls his age to a school with 100 girls his age. High dollar private school at that. At least we can notice the difference in upbringing with most of the kids there. There's a lot of truly good kids there. The problem is that he's a cool kid. Even the seniors like to hang out with him which is not always good. Got his *** on a short leash but it is necessary. We track him on his phone and his mom checks his social sites constantly and stays in his business. Sucks for him it's what it takes to keep him a good kid. Some of these parents have no clue what their kids are up to. Then have the nerve to act surprised when the screw up.

Yeah, kind of the same deal here. Little man has been in a private school for gifted kids since he was little, and you're right about the quality and upbringing of the group he hangs out. But the little nephew goes to public school, but his mom is a teacher and hes in some special academy, magnet, science, math program or whatever it is that they have nowadays (hes super smart). You have to apply and get accepted and they only take like the top 100 kids each year out of 50 thousand in the school district so I feel a little better about that. He's separated from all the derelicts and has classes with the same group of kids hes been with for years, lol.

But I still don't understand what these parents are thinking these days doing this "progressive" **** or whatever you call it when they let their kids just go spend the night at a boy's house and hang out there all weekend. WTF? I don't think Gary would let his daughter spend the night at a boy's house, spare room or not.

I mean I don't really worry too much about him because of the kind of kid he is.Hell, he would literally die of embarrassment if a girl actually saw that little thing he is sporting around, but still, that's the age where bad **** can happen quick.

Yep. I just remember what a terrible little sumbich I was at his age. And I didn't even have the resources of a cell phone or internet. Just trying my best to keep him from screwing up the best years of his life like I did. Sure he's gonna do ignorant **** and I don't even get mad about most of it but at least I know that he knows better and privileges only come with good decisions. Great kid just hard work keeping him great.
Now my little man, will probably end up being one of the kids caught banging the hot teacher when he's that age. Lol.

Yep, same **** we're going through. The oldest nephew is in that academy I mentioned, but his little bro is totally opposite. Super intelligent kid, probably smarter than the older one, but just can't apply himself. Didn't make it into the academy so next year when he goes into 6th grade he'll be thrown in with all of the dregs. Over 3000 kids in that middle school.

My oldest is in college I can't do a thing about her.

But my second oldest is a junior and has only had one boyfriend last year. She is highly self motivated. Practices sports every day till dark and then comes home and does reading and homework. She's trying hard to be valedictorian. If she doesn't have a 100 average in a class she works harder. She's got like 6 100s and a 99 right now. She is extremely competitive and always wants to win in sports or in grades or in everything she does. She was up till 2:30 last night making a 3D skin layer project for anatomy. She's never late for anything. Always early. She gets sick to her stomach if she thinks she's gonna be late to a practice or school. I have no idea where she gets it from. I thought it might wear off by now as distractions occur but it has only become stronger. She always does everything right. Smart. Book smart. And allies herself 110% in everything she does. Never shows mercy on the court or in the classroom.

3rd daughter is a freshman. Hates that she has any siblings. Curses that she was born third and since she can't compete in any way with her older sisters chooses to be the black sheep, lazy, and does everything to spite us. Constantly have to watch her on social media. She bad mouths her family. Acts persecuted about everything and has difficulty making any friends. I worry that she may live with us her entire life. She is smart but chooses to act dumb. She will be the death of me.

4th kid is all about social media and popularity. She is pretty and thin and always been outgoing. She has tons of friends and has had several middle school boyfriends so far. Also smart but never applies herself.

5th kid. Smarter than all the rest. Gifted smart. Good at math. Reads books all the time. Reads books walking to and from the car at school. Hard headed though.

6th kid. Don't know yet. Seems pretty smart. Mamas boy though. Pretty bad. She's made him soft despite my best efforts.

What I was really getting at is that none of these kids will be spending the night or the weekend at anyone's house of the opposite sex as long as I am alive.

Both the oldest have friends that have done that in school. We had a word for girls like that in my day. It's called a ****. Or in extreme circumstances when they've done that with more than one boy, a *****.

My oldest has a roommate at her apartment that is just out of high school. She spends the night with boys in college. She stayed over at 5 different boys places in the first two weeks alone. She claims they don't do anything and she only sleeps there. Lololol. My daughter tells her she's such a ****.
