C'mon man. 6-6 280 psycho on crank? Because that really happens. Lol
Chances are you will never need to protect yourself with a gun anyways. And ain't no meth head 280lbs. But a .380 hollow point should drop any meth head under 200. Lol. I'm just not a fan of the 9 or 40sw. Especially the 40. I prefer our little .38 revolver. One shot stopping power is real nice but a lot of people miss. I prefer less recoil especially if the wife has to use it when I'm not home.

.410 Judge revolver

No jam

Plenty of stopping power

Easier to aim around a corner than a shotgun

Don't know how well it kills but it sure seems painful enough. From about 10ft away it should pepper a whole body. Lol

Never shot one. Seems like it would hurt just shooting the dang thing. I only have the little .38 in the house right now. Was waiting for the boys to get older. The youngest is now in a shooting league which means we will be buying guns again soon. I'm loving everything the league is teaching him. Discipline, respect, and safety. Ex-Marine drill instructor heading it up and giving commands. Very nice guy and great with the boys.

I'm more the believer that if you're worried about self defense then get to the range routinely and use what you're comfortable with and use it accurately more so than worrying about stopping power.

If you can't do that then forget the pistol and bring out a modern short barrel medium gauge and just spray and pray lol...

Shot placement.

These Barnes Bullets have got to hurt - even in .380!

These "Just Right Carbines" look fun. 9, 40SW, or 45ACP, and use your pistol mags.

I think I am just going to have to shoot a few more to see what I want. My husbands paperwork finally went through so he should be able to pick up his new Sig this week. I'm just going to have to go with him and see what they have. My son picked up a few accessories for his AR at the show today. He has his personal items that the Army shipped home for him that should be here Wednesday and there are a couple of things coming in that for the AR too. He is itching to shoot it so hopefully the weather will be nice enough next weekend that we can get some time in at the range.

Can't go wrong with Glock. Simply because it's lightweight and reliable. They make great guns. The only plastic frame gun I would trust though.

I was eyeing one of these up at Cabelas a few weeks ago. HK .45 carbine. It's like the answer to the old Tommy. Dang I bet it's fun.

Well he'd get 16 9's his way from me that should slow him down! :-)

16? What are you a cop? They can't seem to hit anything with one or two rounds either. Takes the whole magazine.

Right. That's the best way.

I will say that these 'modern sporting rifles' (AR's) with quad rails are stupid. How many civilians are really going to attach that much crap to their rifle? Besides that, those sharp edges hurt.

Also, I guarantee you'll thank me for a Colt Mustang 380. Whether the all stainless Pocketlite or the XSP. I've had the older Government model 380 (forerunner to the Mustang) since the 80's along with its big brother and they are my favorite. You will cherish it and be the envy of those that bought those 'other' pistols.
A) It's a USA made Colt 1911 style. Every American should be issued one with their birth certificate. Merica!
B) It is not only fun as hell to shoot, but a great round to learn on for both confidence and accuracy.
C) Even if you graduate up to a Colt Defender or Commander in 45, or a different brand or caliber, you'll always have this for backup and for fun.
D) It's a Colt!

I know Al and maybe some others might mention a Schlock, but I just won't have a gun without a safety. **** happens. Plus, say no to Eurotrash arms! lol The Ruger SR's will do anything a Schlock will do and its US.
