After reading the comments in the linked article and on JFR website, my hunch is that the (alleged) "courtesy call" by the "other team owner" was more than a courtesy call. John's pretty predictable. I'm sure they fully expected JF to take action quickly rather than wait until the end of the season. So the "call" was meant to wreck this season ASAP.
Either way, bad form by Prock. If he felt he wasn't being rewarded enough or whatever, he should have waited until the end of the season after he had another championship (or dang near) under his belt - and without screwing the team that brought him to where he is on the final push. No class.

At least you use them. The older guy I met at the hospital last fall that fed my horses when I'd travel for medicine, just had to have one. Couldn't wait! Bought a pickup to haul it and bought a brand new camper this spring. Still hasn't used it and it sits in his driveway.

I wish! We've been to a few (Bermuda, Aruba twice, and Hawaii), but I'd like to go to more islands. I love the beach but unfortunately Mr. Jill does not As long as there is fishing and a bar nearby, I can convince him though.

Nice! Is this the one from last year or a "new" new one?

We are at the point where we work too hard during the week so when we want a weekend away, we just want to relax....don't want to do all that work anymore.

This is a "new" one and not the new one from last year. Last year we went back to a pop up because we figured it would just be the two of us mostly going camping. We used it 4 times, lol. Honestly, it's hard going from a travel trailer, back to a pop up.....just a lot more work setting it up. He was *****ing and moaning when we were getting set up at Maple Grove a couple of weeks ago. It seems to always rain and you have to worry about the canvas and putting them away wet. So it felt like it was constantly, up and down, up and down.

I just always took that as John "poor mouthing" like any good trucker or farmer does daily. It's in their genes. With JFR's incomparable record - that is still winning a LOT - how could you not get sponsors? Nobody hawks their sponsors as much as John. So with Ford pulling out (on everybody), and Castrol making a change, big deal? Plenty of other companies in America wanting that kind of exposure. IMO

Geez... one nearby town's gas is $2.86. Another nearby town's is $3.24. Wonder which town is going to get my grocery and fuel money. Duh!

Dang. And I thought a 20 cent difference the other day between two towns was bad. Got down to $2.79ish earlier this week but it went back up to $2.99 yesterday.
