How do you plan on using the stock brackets? Are you going to cut them up? The stock woofers are glued into the bracket I think.

I eventually want to go with some 6.5 components, but I have some extra (almost brand new) infinitys I wanted to use in the mean time.

Exactly. I want the door woofers though so I can put some mids in there. Still not as complicated at the mach system though, which actually isn't that bad once you figure it all out. Its just all too factory specific if that makes sense.

Yep. I just wish my passenger door didn't rattle. Or both my corner AC vents.

Honestly for a stock system, it's not the worst I've heard. I have the image completely centered on my dash, just by playing with the fader and balance. I just need it to a) be louder since I have muffler deletes right now and b) have more dynamic range. With a proper EQ tune, you could make the garbage factory components sound decent, but of course replacing them with better stuff out of the gates would be even better.

Check out that thread, he got em apart. They're screwed into the stock brackets too. With replacement 8s, you don't need 6.5 comps. I'd rather have a smaller midrange woofer that's dedicated to midrange frequencies, versus a 6.5 that's trying to play midbass and midrange.

But nice job! That's the route I'm going to take for now, once I get my speakers. Have to finish up the suspension and get my catback first though. I'm going to cutout that factory mesh too, just solely using that to mount the new 5.25s

I'm hurting so ****ing bad in my back, hip and leg that I can hardly get around. Pisses me off.

Not to mention my shoulder that just out of the blue and hasn't been a problem flared up last week. Don't know what that is other than arthritis, its a deep down pain in the joint that has hurt me so bad that I couldn't go to sleep until 9 am last week and then had crazy ****ing dreams that woke me up every 30 minutes. Of course the crazy dreams are a common thing separate from the shoulder pain.

Yeah, 2 hrs of sleep a day is great.

If you're on meth.

Yep. And "management" doesn't seem to give a crap about losing eyeballs.
Glad I have other forums that are oh so busy (by the thousands of online members) other than dying TMS.

I worked my butt off doing some home repairs Thursday. Wood and painting all day. When I finally sat down that night to relax, my back tightened up and wasn't sure if I would survive the morning. Seems like my muscle relaxers did the trick. Kinda scared me for a minute.

Talk about ****ed up, my back had been in remission somewhat (still in constant pain but not excruciating pain) for a month or so until yesterday. Got out of the pool, got a towel to dry myself off, put my foot up on a picnic table chair on the deck to dry off, got half way down my leg with the towel and BOOM! It was like I had been shot in the back. Saw stars and total blackness, took my breath away for a few seconds and couldn't move for a few minutes. I knew right then that I'd be one hurting SOB the next day. At least I can wipe my *** unlike the last flare up I had.

I sometimes hurt so bad that I just sit in my office chair and watch tv until I fall asleep, and then only sleep for a couple of hours a day because I have to fix breakfast for the little guy and get him ready for his day, then lay down if I am able for a couple of hours until the pain and bad dreams get me back up. Or if I have to **** after 2 hours of sleep which is common these days, lol. And I just say **** it, I slept 2 hrs earlier and I slept another 2 hrs later so I just get up to **** and say **** it, I'm already up, might as well stay up. I'll sleep on the weekend for 5 or 6 hours straight if I can, lol.

Only felt that shot once. Crawled in the house on my hands and knees with tears in my eyes. Lived off of pain killers for six months after that. It's been a lot better since I quit working on cars.
