Not really surprised about bears down there, but they are everywhere here. But I'm pretty surprised about the hogs, I figured they would be everywhere down there. They are rooting like mad up here. SOBs breed like mad up here, and they run wild in these mountains. And they are viscous, I don't hunt but people I know do and they carry a big bore pistol as a side arm just for the hogs when they are turkey, deer, bear, etc. hunting because the hogs will charge you and run you up a tree if you don't have a pistol to blast them. They will screw you up with those tusks if you don't put one right between the eyes pretty quick like.

Watched a show a few weeks ago about America before Columbus. Never knew that pigs were not native to NA. Domesticated ones came from Europe with the settlers, a few escaped and multiplied like crazy, and in time developed into the aggressive wild boar version living on their own.

Are y'all having problems with them like we are up here? I could walk out the back door and into the woods behind the house and kill a 200lb hog within 2 hours easily. They are everywhere, piglets running all over the place.
I can ride up one of my fire roads with a spot light on and they scatter everywhere, sows with little ones right on her tail.

the head has some of the best flavor. The cheek is great. Looks like he came out great.
