Wifey and I were on vacation and there was a company at Bar Harbor airport that gave biplane flights. Since I let her order a custom made ring from one of the shops in Southport, she told me to indulge myself. I mentioned to the owner of the company that I was a student pilot, he said that he would have his pilot put the stick in the front cockpit. Once we were airborne, he gave me a few tasks to do to see if I knew enough to fly the plane. He had full instrumentation in front of him; all I had in front of me was an airspeed indicator and an altimeter.

He told me to do a climbing two minute left turn at 30 degrees angle of bank, then he had be do a descending two minute turn to the right at the same angle. I executed both, then he said "okay, you can fly her... if you want to take pics, let me know an I'll take the controls". At one point, we did a few aerobatics.. it was awesome! He let me fly the aircraft back to the airport all up to the final approach for landing, where he took the controls because the Waco didn't have flaps like the Cessna 172 I fly at home.

Once we were on the ground, he asked me if I had my log book, as he was a certified flight instructor and would give me credit for the flight. I did not, but my name is in their computer system. We went back to Bar Harbor the following year, but the three days we were there it rained and they were not open.
So true. It's fantastic to be up in an open air plane! Few years ago I got the chance to a lifetime to fly in a Stearman stuntplane. The absolute most incredible experience of my life. The G-forces were unbelievable.

When I was pretty young, my insane uncle took me up in his old crop duster which he thought was a stunt plane. Scared the absolute **** out of me. Surprised that plane didn't kill him. He's still insane but not allowed to fly anymore. Lol

When I was around 12, my mom and I got to go up in a Stearman at the airshow. Probably the best $50 we ever spent, but HOLY SHYTE it was crazy. More so when you're not in control. It was still a blast to feel your stomach shoved into your throat haha!

My favorite body style as it is so much like my 1970. But I think I like the 2004 Mach1 with the shaker hood better. Hold out for that

I wish I had more time before the 50th. There's just nothing out there right now.

My wife's cousin posted videos from the Miley Cyrus concert in Nola. Madonna did it and was great at it. This little chick makes it a grotesque and vile display of total garbage. Maybe it's just because I don't think she's attractive but I threw up in my mouth a little. Miley and Marilyn Manson should tour together and the crowd should all get puppies to kill. I thought for a while that she was pulling off the shock factor really well but she's trying way too hard and it just comes out ridiculous.

Too bad it is in Dallas and not Houston. I could drive it to the 50th for you. It would be in great shape when I got there.
