Then to add to the injury I go to get whisky. Ever since in 2010 the sh!thead outgoing Dem Gov "raised taxes on those rich corporations" - which means the poor got socked worse in the same law with DMV fees doubling from license to plates to titles, small business registration/renewal doubling, plus cig taxes & liquor taxes jumping from their "State stores"... VO spiked to $31 a half gallon from $26. 25% tax hike.
VO was my drink since the 80's but on a fixed income I had to try others. I used to find it at Costco in Cali for $22 (which made it worth a trip) but they dropped VO and only carry 7 - which I don't like.
I tried CC - very smooth but no flavor, McNaughton's which is pretty smooth but no flavor, and settled on Canadian Mist - which I actually like because it's smooth with flavor. Reg price is $23 but often on sale to $20. But since the doc's said radiation would likely irritate my esophagus and therefore straight whisky would be a no no, I thought I'd splurge and get a half of VO before they fire up the nuclear reactor. lol
So I knew going in what I was going to pay. But now I'm sizzling because of the chipmunks and therefore stewing that I paid the State of Oregon $31 for $23 whisky.
But now that I got that out of my system, it is nice to sip some VO again. lol
Time to start up your own Whiskey business!

Dam chipmunks have been shredding the liner on the firewall and the hood - even with moth ***** galore in these plastic tubs. You walk by in the heat and you can smell them. Doesn't deter the stupid munks like it was and now they just tore a whole section out!!! 
Which means I have to hurry and finish the ceiling insulation in the garage so I can pull Bullitt back in to its stall.

Yeah they're munks. I'm infested and they're too quick for the dog (and she's quick). I tried trapping them but they get out of Harbor Frt traps. I'd use poison but Kelly will eat them. I'd break out the .22 but there's either cars or horses in the background. I'm worried about wires.
Gotta get the construction supplies/wood out of the 2nd stall of the garage stat!! Or make my own traps.

Needs to be more Astony
We really need to know what broke, to find out. Doesn't look like the 5.4 or 5.8 has forged rods like the 4.6 did. I wonder if the extra displacement caused a bit too much stress on them.

Another warm one here! Supposed to get some thunderstorms coming in tonight that will drop the temps about 20 degrees. At one point on the drive home the car said 96*. This pic is from when I got home.

Just read where Japanese women have lost their long held title to longevity to Hong Kong women.
So there it is. The key to longevity is eating lots of chicken feet. 
Researchers believed the healthy Japanese diet was a major factor in people living longer there.
Now perhaps they will need to look at the diet in Hong Kong which is principally Cantonese cuisine which includes lots of seafood and rice but also chicken feet.

But can the 5.8 handle the power level of the 5.4? The 5.4 had advantages of thicker walls and lower red line.

I wouldn't worry about it....Just some guys trying desperately to make a name for themselves and tweaking as hard as they can....likely a tuning issue caused the boom. If you start seeing multiple cases then it's time to worry...
