The second club I went to last night was Alex's. It was an open jam night and the way they do it is each group can play up to 3 songs and then the next group. So I saw a lot of stuff in a few hours.
When I walked in the crowd was pretty tight around the band so I couldn't see... but I swear I was hearing Janis Joplin. This gal could belt those high raspy screams and hold em!!
They're playing a benefit show with many others this weekend at a nearby resort. Try and get more info on "Hundred Watt Mind".

We got rain this aftenroon! About 20min shower. Ground got good and soaked, enough that some water is still standing on the dirt in the holes, but is being soaked up pretty quick. At least I dont have to put the sprinkler out on the garden in the morning.

Up here, we broke an all time record for rain fall in May.... Wettest May since records started back in the 1800s!
Sorry bout yer drought. July is normally a dry month here... Farmers will be crying drought then even though we are a sponge right now.

Show some initiative. (Rental yard...) You might get a raise. 
Or do it Lee's way - hold a CLEANING party, charge the guys and pay the babes to show up, provide the beer and the tunes from the cover charge.

I can't even drink and I'm supposed to provide beer? Don't think I'll be enjoying the pool this summer if I go down that road....
Old pressure washer broke. My dad says he's gonna buy a new one, but never bothers to go out and do it. Too preoccupied with coaching my brother's baseball team.

Yup. Unless its a religious thing for you to share with others.
I know many AA musicians that provide for others so as to provide a benefit to others, though they don't sip. They're ginger ale drinkers. And they are well respected. People rally.
Just a suggestion to get your pool in order (since you're too lazy ).
(I should write a book of the numerous 2+ people jobs that I have found a way to do alone... ! Thank goodness for bailing twine and duct tape [and other inventions] to provide those "needed hands".)

You've mentioned the baseball thing several times lately. How old is he? Is he really that good that your dad thinks hes going to be a MLB player someday? Or is he just trying to make up for things that he didn't do with you now that hes getting old, has regrets, and realizes this may be his last shot?

Hmmm, two person jobs you've learned to do alone. I suppose the duct tape is to patch up the dolls if you get too rough, but you must be into some freaky deaky bondage stuff to have worked bailing twine into it.

Twine? Its much better than the old rusty wire!! I mean you can tape em over the couch, against the wall, to the **** end of a horse... and no marks!
