It is just surreal how some things happened. I saw a refrigerator wrapped around a tree about 30 feet up in it, and there wasn't a house within a half mile of where it was. No idea where it came from. The family has been taking food out to people in those areas and many have showed us completely demolished cars in their yards and nobody knows who they belong to or where they came from.
These are those massive metal high tension power poles, much larger than they look in pics..

One of the local town fire departments started taking donations and were going down to Tuscaloosa with a pickup truck full of stuff. That's turned into a tractor trailer load.

Those poles remind me of that one episode of storm chasers where the huge radio antennas we ripped over and made that haunting screeching sound.

yes that was the case .. iv`e just now got power back ,, thanks for all the concern 
.. it is/was as lee has described it .. total devastation everywhere .. mostly from straight line winds up near me .. you can drive 150 miles in any direction from huntsville and find trees down and roofs missing ..

So for the past two days ive noticed this truck at the far end of the hotel parking lot, noticed the flat black color from the distance. It hasnt moved to my knowledge. No idea whose it is, or what the deal is, but its not flat black, its covered every square inch in line-x. Im in opelika staying at the holiday inn express at Tiger Town (yes near Auburn) and this truck has a University of Alabama tag.
