It's fun, especially if they give stuff away... and when you come home with a trophy! I've got 3 of them and it was all stock. It just looked soooo purrrrrdy!

I'll have to go to one/enter one someday.

But I kind of prefer driving two lane twisties.

Raptor is getting 87. Unless it gets a tune someday, which to be honest, I really don't think I'll touch for years.

Do you all think that 4.10's would be too much? I wish I had a cars with each in them so I could compare...

For $90? Ford/Tasca all the way.

I've heard the 4.10's make 1st pretty useless. I have 3.73's and think they match the Bullitt's power band just right.

See that's kinda what I was thinking about Tasca too. But Karl's ECS has been around since 1980 and all he has ever worked on is Mustang's. He also uses all FRPP parts.

Tasca will do the same thing but they have only been back into building cars for about 4-5 years... It's not quite that same as it was back in the 60's & 70's when the old man was doing it all.

It's just a little show at a church about 2 miles from my house. I don't believe they block anyone in.

I have a couple of them myself

It's nice to get out there and meet people at shows. I will say that I really enjoyed the Mustang cruise we went on the last 2 years in the fall, through the mountains. Twisty, windy roads with the leaves changing and a bunch of stangs....nice!

I think 4.10s with a manual would be a bit much on a daily driver, especially if you do much highway commuting. It would be fun for a while, but I think it would get old and annoying pretty quick, not to mention the mileage hit (if you worry about that).

PS: And besides driving traffic, I'm referring to some great two lane twisties with tight 20/30mph corners. I'm in 2nd & 3rd to keep it in the power band. I think if I had 4.10's I'd have to shift more frequently on the brief straightaways.

As far as the 1/4 mile, I like that I can hit it/top 100 without shifting into 4th.

3.73's!

btw Jim, how do you like your KR's? Are they too loud? Do you ever keep the throttle 'easy' because they're obnoxious - like in a neighborhood or with a cop around? I don't like drawing attention to myself - defeats the sleeper thing.

Although I wish the Bullitt was a tad louder, the tone is perfect! I've learned from playing several guitars & tube amps that great tone beats volume every time (incl as far as audience appreciation). I've read that the KR's keep the Bullitt tone - just louder, but I've also read they pop too much between shifts and/or deccerlation.

Plus a huge part of the Bullitt tone is hearing the engine whine with the CAI when above about 4k. Are the KR's so much louder that you don't hear the engine as much?

I watched a youtube this morning on a dyno and it was way loud at WOT, and between every shift it was popping quite a bit - but the guy had long tubes also whereas I have the stock manifold & Bullitt H-pipe.

Appreciate your comments.

Yeah I have a number of roads nearby that climb/descend the Cascades that are really tight courses. And they're great! But you're busy!! haha

Whereas I drove another one from the Coast inland along the Coquille River and it was easier turns back and forth with good banking. It was so cool because it was like this giant slalom that you could leave it in third and just sway back and forth with the stereo crankin'!

I'd go with the 4.10s, but 3.73s might be better for you.

Weather won't make up its mind. One minute it's sunny, the next cloudy, the next sunny, the next raining.
