They didn't say they'd exchange it. Just that I need to call regarding exchanges.

I probably didn't word it very well either. I'll call one of these days. If they don't exchange it, I do have some touch up paint that came with my car that might work.

I'm assuming it happened from opening the door too far, but still, that shouldn't happen. The paint job on it wasn't the best to begin with either.

No I say something fell on it or they dropped it during packaging?? If it was from opening the door to far open teh other side would have done the same thing or it would be all the way across.

It happened while I was installing it. It's supposedly alluminum, and it's coated with paint. It chipped off almost the way an M&M's coating would come off if that helps. Here's a pic of it open about 2/3 of the way:

It came painted, but as you can tell from the pics, it isn't a very good job. The paint doesn't even cover the sides completely.

How close is the gap between the door and the outside where it chipped?? If it is really close and touching when it opens up then it is a manufacter defect

It touches when it's opened all the way. It's not like the stock door that wings open. It's attached by hinges right on the door.

Yeah bit there should be a gap around the whole thing then it maybe touch the flat outside portion when open all the way not the side of the door touching at all

It's what I get for trying to save a little money again. I should have gotten the one from SHR. I do like the flat look better though.

Was the one that you got used?? To me it looks like it was painted after it was "new"

Alright, stereo problem SOLVED! I blew a fuse. But it wasn't the fuse on the fusebox for the radio, it was for the dome light. For some reason the stereo is on that circuit, not where it should be Anyways, pix come later for that, as I still have to take them.

This then led to my test drive with the new stereo. Had my friend with me, who's been with me every step of the way on stereo "improvement." So when we're going he's like "hey, wanna do a little off roading?" so of course I said sure...

This led me to the best tail out powerslides possible on a 1 lane dirt road, and one near spin, I came to a stop sideways on the road. Overall, pretty awesome stuff! And Honky Tonk Badonka Donk was on the radio

Then we tried to find the mudhole in our neighborhood. We did, but it ain't too muddy right now. I'll be back for it And because it was such a picturesque place I took a couple
