Picked my SBY up at the dealer and have been having a great time breaking it in - 300+ miles so far.

 

Installed a few things

Wheels: 255/35/20 & 295/35/20 Michelin PSS mounted on 20x9/11 Rotiform SNA
Suspension: Eibach R1 coilovers, camber bolts, LCAs, and adj. panhard bar
Brakes: Baer Eradispeed F&R 14", Hawk HPS

Car handles even more awesome than before off just driving around town. Gonna clean it up and take some pics tomorrow

 

There fun to drive that's for sure. I use to be a big time clean and detail, wax, etc etc, but with the Boss I just can't get into it and enjoy driving it. When I had my Mach1 it was spotless, and then I didn't want to drive it and get it dirty. LoL

 

Exactly! My wife now calls my cleaning and detailing: foreplay!

 

Don't worry honey, this clay bar thing is the 'latest thing' to make it, er ah, smoooooth...

 

Installed Ford FRPP rear springs, dropped the rear exactly 1". Leveled the car out. The ride feels the same to me, no harshness at all.

 

Do you have some pics? I am still trying to decide between FRPP or Hotchkis.

Guessing the are the "P' springs based on the pic. Can you buy the rears separately?

They are the P Springs, yep! As far as I know, you can't buy just the rears, unless maybe they could be ordered through a ford dealer. I never checked. Just got the whole set from American Muscle. Maybe I'll go crazy and install the fronts some day. I have a BMR adjustable pan hard bar that I bought for my 2011 5.0 but never installed. I measured the axle on both sides of the car and it didn't change with just an inch drop. Still centered.

 

Just curious. Why does Ford engineer the car with a positive rake? Is it just for looks or is there a performance/handling reason?

 

I think it's just for looks to match the 69/70, but I'm a long ways from being a ford engineer so that's a total guess.

That's awesome Gary ! Not quite sure what your temperatures are looking like over in Lancaster, I don't there a whole lot different than here, so may I suggest you get some heat in those tires before doing anything to ornery ?
