Road Trip!

I took my first road trip in the Boss today with my family up to Lake Tahoe. I took some photos of my Boss with the lake in the background but my freakin camera is having issues and they disappeared. Below is a photo from my iP4 of the lake taken while eating lunch. While I wasn't throttling it all the time my average cruise speed while on the interstate was around 80 MPH and there were four people in the car and the trunk was loaded. So far I hadn't gotten even 15 MPG. I filled up when we got back and was surprised to get 21.6 MPG on this trip. So maybe 26 MPG on the fwy is achievable although probably not much fun. My Boss now has over 1,000 miles on it so it's officially broken-in.

No, the race was today. I don't usually pay attention to what's going on around the NAS*** race when it's in town.

That's all right. My streak of not seeing another Boss in person continues...

Tahoe City? Looks like the board walk right over the beach. I lived through my grade school years there. Visit my parents every summer since.

Going further along the north shore past Homewood would be a fun drive.

Yep, taken from the patio at the Blue Agave restaurant. We headed East over to Northstar. Before the snow falls I want to go up Hwy 50 and take the Mormon Immigrant Trail over to Hwy 88. I'll try and get my friend with a motorcycle to follow me and leave my family at home.

Car show: 1st place in class

Took the Boss to a car show today.
Got 1st in my class (vehicles built 2000 and newer).
2nd place was a '12 Shelby GT500
3rd was an '06 Mustang GT
Was hard to tell what other cars were in my class due to the parking arrangement.

Lots of people walking by looked more at my Boss than the other cars (including the Shelby). A few talked a bit which was nice. A couple asked "Is this your Boss?" as I'm standing next to it w/ my Boss 302 hat on.

Overall great week - track day #1, and a win at a car show. The Boss just keeps giving opportunities to have fun!

Put in the smoked 3/4 lights like Harley, which are great, and installed the plates from 2012YellowBoss w/o any cutouts. I can't believe how quiet the car is.

The sound from the side pipes just wasn't doing it for you or as a test?

Just to see what it sounded like. Way quieter than my Bullitt. I'm going to leave it that way for a week.

I'm starting to think maybe 1/2 is about right for everyday driving, mainly in town.

did yours have the open inserts for the fascia in the box or did you cut yours? my ducts came in, shows the open LS fascia inserts should be there but they aren't.

Horns are funny, my wife honks at anything and probably asks me every time we are in the car together why i don't honk at "that idiot". if mine didn't work at all id not know it. generally if someone does something stupid i figure the last thing they need is to be more distracted by me honking to let them know they are idiots. the only time ive used it in recent memory was in the wife's car when a guy started to change lanes on top of me,

Just call Ford Racing and they will send them.

I reused a kit from my previous car, from Quantum Motorsports. As such, I had to drill and dremel the "foglight" holes myself. No big deal. However if you purchased the FRPP kit, call up FRPP and they will send you some pre-cut inserts.

I hardly ever use the horn, but it sounds when I lock/unlock the car!

Fire Extinguisher install

I have found the best way to never get use of something is the spend money on it. Lets hope this holds true with this weekends Project

Nice Bossdog. I should probably put one in as well. Link to where you bought it? I assume pretty easy install?
