Got it from OG Racing
Universal Mounting kit

http://www.ogracing.com/catalog/2-Ca...NGUISHER-MOUNT

Other places in the blog had info too.

The only part that was not straight forward was:
1) Mount the (red) fire extinguisher Bracket to the SS mounting plate Before the bracket is in place in your car
2) you will need to purchase hardware to mount the fire extinguisher bracket to the Mounting Plate. (4 screws w/ locking washers)
3) I used the large mounting plate on the outter passenger side seat mounting and a small bracket on the inner side of the seat. You'll see what I mean when you get started.
Other than that, its pretty straight forward.
you'll need a full set of allen wenches.

I got that same mount and an extinguisher from OG Racing, too. They had the best price I could find. I also discovered that additional nuts/bolts were required for full installation. It took me a couple hours the first time I did it in my other car including a trip to the hardware store and because I didn't attach the mounting plate to the bracket before bolting it down to the seat mounts. It only took me about 20 minutes the next time I put it in the Boss.

I recommend getting an extinguisher for anyone taking the car to the track. I've never seen anybody need to use one, but it's a relatively small investment for such an expensive item. By the time help comes, it'll most likely be too late...

Lookin good, Dave!

This week, the MM camber plates went on, just put on the track rotors and DTC60 front pads, and brake cooling kit. Did my first oil change tonight at 1150 miles or so, and topped off my leaking trans with Motorcraft QS.

Finished 5th, Co-Driver 2nd. Car was pretty good and the only Ford in the trophies. I killed the entrance to the slalom, else the data showed much faster through the rest of the course. There's always next year. Btw, car has suspension bits only. Will be faster next year.

Nice, drove one day with the camber plates and I could tell the big difference even if I did not get much quality time. Can't wait for a full day out there with them on. Replaced my first set of burnt front pads and changed the fluid again. Planning to make a new front splitter this week when installing the duct kit. It is coming together just need to fix the nut behind the wheel

I let me wife drive mine this weekend. She learned to drive using a manual but was a bit intimidated by how fast the car is. She handled it like a pro and now wants to drive it to work one day this week.

I filed a claim against the shipping company. They ****ed up my side exhausts. I was a few miles down the road after pick up when I heard something dragging.

No, no LS wing. Looks good, but just adds weight.

New Speakers & Amp.

I took a cue from what I read on the boards here that the Pioneer TS-6802R's are a good replacement, I knew the deck didn't have the power to make them sound good though, so I added a Pioneer GM-6400F that puts out 120w by 4.
Obviously the stock set up sucks at best. Now it really cleans up & cranks!!
I can see the value of a sub but I am more than pleased with the outcome.
It is very crisp with decent range... Volume is beyond what I can listen to before distortion. Mounted the amp on the back of one side of the flip down seat on passenger side. Would have liked it better in the tire well but it wouldn't fit without building a frame for it.

Well, this isn't sexy enough for a blog entry, so I'll throw it in here. I got my first rock chip, about 1.25" and just below my line of site near the base of the windshield.

Based on the recommendations of others, I had Safelight come out and do their thing. Made the appointment online, they came to my office on the same day, and were done in 30 minutes. Should probably be closer to $75 than $150, but it was excellent service and way cheaper than a new windshield. I'm very pleased. The spot isn't invisible, but it's much better and the cracks shouldn't spread further.

I have no affiliation with Safelight.

What will happen if you drive it in the rain. Will it shrink into a Pinto. You purchased the car to enjoy and not store it in a wharehouse. Rain is the least to worry about. I worry more about potholes that cause damage and the other stupid people out there on the road. Please post pictures if your Boss is transforming into a Pinto 302? Look on the flip side....you now have more to clean. Enjoy your Boss weather it be RAIN or SHINE!

LOL Mine's a weekend fun car so there is no reason for me to drive it in bad weather. Note that photo was taken at a race track...doing what it was designed to do.
