I would be more concerned with the 2 cycle engines such as weedeaters, etc. I guess they are ok for the enviroment.

I called my dealer to ask how some of the installs were going and one of the customers ended up with 2 trackey programs. For example the black was turned into a red key. They are waiting for a patch.

I'm not sure if that was directed at me or at CARB in general but I assure you - the State of California has very stringent regulations in place on any petrol burning engine that resides within its boundaries.

In Texas you can get TracKey for your weedeater, leaf blower, and chainsaw

My wife came with a Trickey. One time on the track and the whole warranty was voided.

Talk about your bait and switch. Thats what marriage is.

I hear that their trade-in value is about half your net worth plus processing fees. That is a good reason for running them into the ground and never trying to trade up. Plus the new one could turn out to be a lemon. Best to dance with the one you came with.
(Not sure what any of that has to do with TracKey installation)

Poor bastard. Better stick with her though, if you ever divorce it will be "poor bastard" again. Literally.

Had my TracKey install performed yesterday. So far I like it. The engine braking was evident as soon as I pulled out of the service area and let off the gas. the idle is different. After 2 days I can tell a change, it's more lopey now and actually shakes the car a bit. Exhaust note seems deeper in tone for whatever reason, gas pedal is touchier than before but still not too much for every day driving if so desired. I like it so far...

Not you CARB. I have always wondered why there have not been any restrictions against lawn equipment as far as emissions.

LA county actually banned the use of gas leaf blowers, but I can't remember why.

Probably noise pollution. Stopping the 2 stroke was just icing on the cake.

All the lawn crews still use them though.
