Or are there some other special conditions of use.

So, I just want to be clear. I pay around $500 bucks. Get a cool lopey idle some engine breaking and low end torque and lose 2 years and 24000 of warranty. I'm not sure about this 1. For something I will use 3/4 times a year. All the dedicated track rats will love it. But I think a no-go for me

hahaha nice catch!!! :P

And I thought this was supposed to be included with the LS package?!?! well guess not....Ford is kind of slack on all of their warranties and now they're limiting the one you have for getting a product designed for your vehicle in particular......oh well.....

Wow now that's marketing campaign, i didn't read anything that indicated we would be having to make warranty sacrifices on their website, in articles, or in our manuals (maybe its buried there). That is pretty lousy IMO.

If I read it correct it only over-rides the 5/60 if it is the "Ford Racing part"that fails.Any other problem not related to Track-Key would keep the 5/60.

Okay, so what is the Ford Racing Parts that may fail? The whole car is a "race car built for the street".

"This Limited Warranty replaces the existing manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty for engine, driveline and suspension parts, when the warranted Ford Racing Part is identified as the causal part of a warrantable concern. "

Well, what else could make the car fail. It had to be your use of the track key: Big Doh!

I was very curious to see what Ford would do about warranty.

I own a 2000R it came with no warranty. None. 0. You drove it off the lot and you were on your own. $55k plus ADM. 0 warranty.

That's a hard pill to swallow.

Looks like I'm about to save around $400 if this bait and switch does reduce the warranty. I'm not a dedicated track rat and want my warranty intact.

how do you figure its a bait and switch? Even with the ford procal tuners you had the same thing. They said it would make the car better.. not make the warranty last longer or stay intact. People need to watch the wording they use.

Wasn't the TracKey supposed to be delivered with the New Boss and LS?

And now they're going to charge you $400 for it??

Take the $400 and buy a SXT/X3!
