I've been stuck in friggin' Gibson, In. for two days, waiting for UP. Our pain pales compared to Intense's.

Interesting that both of our railcars are getting handed off around Chicago and they are only about 75 miles apart.

My dealer thinks I'll be driving it home on the 25th at the earliest or the 28th.

Dave my White Boss has an ETA of 23 MAR here in Houston. I'm guessing I may be driving it on the 24th after dealer prep.

ETA now 3/16 instead of 3/23 !!!!!

Just got a call from my dealer and said they can pick up the car from the yard and have it for tomorrow pm. 20 mile drive what do you guys think? BTW the salesman is the Shelby/Boss specialist and he would be driving it and said he would not rev it past 5000 or lug it.

I don't know why I'm so "wrapped around the axle" about getting this car. It's not that I don't have other fun cars to drive!

I think it's because it is a modern day muscle car that handles well, and my wife will enjoy it with me. She won't go near my Cobra.

Let it rip! You have as much opportunity for someone to wreck it on a transport as him driving it 20 miles

It is not my dealer calling, it is Ford CS. That is the scary part they are there at headquarters and still do not have an idea what is going on. I called them a week after the delivery date passed asking what is going on. I was not rude but forceful about getting an answer. Now they call just to tell me they have not found out anything new and there is no new news. They have no idea why it has not shipped, no idea when it will ship, no idea if there was a problem with the car no idea where it is now and no idea when they might have an idea.

Well that stinks. Hopefully you have some good news this week.

I am really happy for you guys; truly!
When FCS calls me after elevating my problem, here's what I'm telling them:
"This is really simple. Either load that car on a TRUCK (as the window sticker states) and ship it to SC now, or I'm going to start calling Ford Executives and then the automotive media outlets."
Worked when the 2010 Shelby was delayed like this...

I agree with the comments above. Seems like the first week builds are hanging around the plant.

Dude,

Can you imagine what non car people (think of the drone at the office that drives the Camry) would say about us? They would think we are suffering from a mental defect because it's just a car......

Now trains / airplanes / ships like cars are great mechanical things! and all have a rabid followig! You should cehck out a rail switching yard they are wonders of engineering. I wouldn’t go as far as our friend with a car……but I might with the Boss!

Oh yea, I get it It was just a little self deprecating humor at this obsession of ours. The train guys are just the same, different hobby. It's all good. Actually it's been kind of cool to get a little exposure to the railroad business. Just trying to imagine the logistics is enough to boggle the mind.
