2012 Boss 302

I hear the engine is going to be the the 6.2L...
411 hp @ 5,500 rpm and 434 lb-ft @ 4,500 rpm...
So, after the boss is revealed will their be much else on a wait list other than specific options we're hoping to see? We should be set for a while, no?

Here's how I came up with my number:
Base MSRP for a GT is $29,645
Base MSRP for a GT500 is $48,645
Difference of $19,000. Split the difference and you've got $8,500.
$29,645 + $8,500 = $38,145
My guess is that's a bit high, so we bump it down $150 from that and I get $37,995.
Also, considering the GT500 SVTPP is a $3,495 option, and the rumors are that it'll get that suspension and wheels, you have to assume that the car will cost AT LEAST $3,495 more than a base GT.
$29,645 + 3,495 = $33,140.

Another piece of into posted elsewhere.
The SE reportedly gets the R1 race engine -- with CNC heads, hollow-filled valves, big cams, alloy intake (as in your pic) but detiuned a bit for CAFE/street use. Suposedly, an off-road FRPP tune will be availabe afterward to kick it back up.
The volume BOSS is supposedly an MGT with suspension and related improvements, special option package, and a tweaked tune.
I'm guessing he's talking about the volume BOSS in that clip from the Millville race. My understanding is the SE-R is december, but who knows what Ford is up to? ;-)

The one with the rear seat delete...I'll take the Recaros and the no option plan...also the $ and HP will be higher than the Speed TV video stated

Your post was deleted, or should I say does not exist anymore. I think TopNotch may have hit WAAAAY to close with his posting. Good thing for google cache, it still lives. lol

Maybe, but historically there was also a Boss 429 and a Boss 351. Being a "Boss" wouldn't necessarily imply "302" though that's what we've all assumed, what with the release of the 5.0 and all...
