Just found this VERY interesting post. Apparently there are two versions of the BOSS 302 coming out...
One to be announced in August, the other in December. One will be a volume version, the other an SE...
Hmmm.

That rumor has been out for a while - personally I would be disappointed if Ford makes an R1 powered Boss R model in very low production volumes while making a higher volume SE model with just a warmed over 5.0L. Another post seemed to indicate the target HP for the SE Boss was only 430. That would be a huge disappointment in my book.

Given the choice, I would prefer the BOSS 302 put out 430 HP and weigh less than the GT as opposed to 480 HP and weigh more than the GT.
I'm a fan of Colin Chapman's thinking: "To go faster, just add lightness."

That's kinda funny, and says a whole lot about nothing...other than its coming.
IIRC Multimatic has worked closely with Ford on a number of occasions. One I can remember is the FRPP handling pack for the 2005....

What I learned is that Multimatic is manufacturing some of the parts for the road car.
