911s are a niche sports car that appeal to a very limited market, have a very high cost, and sell in very small quantities compared to Mustangs. Mustangs have to appeal to a much wider market and sell many more cars to make a profit. If the Mustang sold like a 911 it'd be long dead or cost $80k.

Problem is how do you make a convertible out of that? Why is the back end soooo tall? And when you look at the front of the Evos concept wouldn't the engine be pretty far forward? Doubtful it would have a good front/rear distribution.
I do like the wheels, they look like the previous gen anniversary wheels.

That is what I am wondering about too. Just that fact alone means the new Mustang will not look exactly like the Evos in the back. The taillamps will have to be dropped down lower and perhaps they will have to do what they did in 67-68 to get that full fastback look for the coupe with the raised decklid contour while providing a level deck that works for a convertible version.

I just posted on another thread with this rendering, and by far to me this is the best one. My Friend at Ford who hooked me up with the Pace Car said that the Mustang will look nothing like the Fusion or Taurus... Just food for thought...
