What really got my attention is this flat plane -crankshaft for the GT350 . Wonder how's that gonna sound !
For explanations on cross-plane VS flat-plane read below.
Generally speaking V8 engines have a 90 degree angle between the cylinder banks with each crank pin offset at 90 degrees from the adjacent ones i.e. they are "crossed" at 90 degrees. Hence the cross-plane name. Whether a flat or cross-plane crankshaft is chosen depends on what kind of performance is required. To get maximum performance from the engine, the flat-plane must be used but for all-round functioning the cross-plane is best. This why all Ferrari V8s engines (from the 308 to the 328, the 348 to the 355,the 360 to the 430,and the special high performance GTO series, the F40 and the recent California, our first front V8) use a flat-plane crankshaft.
The advantages of the flat-plane crankshaft over the cross-plane one can be summarised as follows:
A flat-plane crankshaft is lighter than a 90-degree, or cross-plane crankshaft, and, having a lower rotating mass than the latter, provides sharper response as well as allowing higher maximum revs, useful when seeking higher power outputs. Another advantage of the flat-plane crank is that it allows more efficient exhaust manifold design.

Today I found myself just kinda browsing craigslist, to see what slightly used 2013 gt500's were going for. Under 5k miles can be had for mid to high 50's. My wife tells me, call them up and make an offer. "No," says I. "I want to wait and see what the 2015's are going to be like first." Now this.... sh*t looks like th 2016 gt350 is the heat!!! There will likely be dealer mark ups for 6+ months.... Freak..... 2 years. I love my kona blue beast, Spenser. But, there is so much horsepower out there and my business is doing REALLY WELL. Oh well, patience is a virtue. Then again, I've never been accused of being virtuous. The conflict rages on!!!
By the way, that is a good looking car. I would not mind the new mustang being similar to that!

It does sort of look like the Camaro, but the greenhouse still looks similar with the current S-197 IMHO !

It looks like a camaro because R&T didn't scale the greenhouse correctly, giving it a chopped-top look. If everything were the same scale it would look less bunker-like.

Front fascia reworked and concept flipped. I am ready to buy now...
Changes made to match the 6G banner and headlights updated from the S197's.
This design is deserving of a flat-plane V8 and would fit the sound associated...

That Shelby concept, while probably my personal favorite rendering in this entire thread, is not a Mustang concept. I was reading the artist's description as I posted the pic... It's a Shelby concept he designed in tribute to Carroll Shelby after his passing. He said he included some Cobra, Daytona, and Mustang cues, etc.
What I found interesting was that the overall shape would (IMO) do well as a Mustang. It's got the Evos/AM feel, and it's just flat out sexy. I like what ThePill did with it above, cleaning it up a bit... Nice work.

Edit: Nevermind, I found him.

If it looks like that both my '65 and '12 would be swapped out for the top performing model. Better yet, both Camaro and Corvette owners would be weeping. Love it.
