But that's an aggressive, manly look for a car. It looks tough.

You took it to a whole other level of literalism, lol.

Wow you totally lost me. How is a GT-R more manly than a Mustang? If you think a Mustang is feminine, what you should say is "if you want a male car, buy a Raptor." THAT makes more sense.

Gad I hope TopSpeed is "WAY OFF". I THOUGHT they (FORD) said "New, exciting, BOLD..." that rendering isn't any of those. Got a Cremescycle ready to flip for something BOLD and exciting

Sure wish I had my BULLITT back

Yeah but,....................look at Eleanor and then look at that rendering again.
Not even in the same book, never mind the same page.

Eleanor is a built car. A 67 GT500 was pretty tame in appearance in comparison.

Are you guys really going to say that the 05-09 S197 was aggressive, masculine and exciting? I mean I guess it has some solid qualities I'm not sure it's some kind of super beast.

I dunnow?

10 years ago, yes it was. It still is, but we're just used to it. It doesn't necessarily look dated either. The S197 design will carry the same aura 50 years from now that the 1965 does right now. You still look at a clean 1965 fastback and think, "That's a sweet car."

A product of its times, when I was a younger man the two cars the ruled the streets were 5.0 fox bodies and for the bettered heeled musclecar fan, the Grand National.

Personally I like the fox cars they were more Mustang to me than the older cars, especially since a bunch of old drunks were willing to pay exorbitant prices for the older sheet metal placing them out of reach essentially making older Mustangs the equivalent of wishing for and trying to date a Victoria Secret model - just pretty pictures in a magazine.

Well spoken my friend. Well spoken indeed!

It's only my opinion but I disagree with everything but the comment about the 65. Even then the 65 is tame compared to the 67, tame compared to the 69. But that said the 67 really grew cajones.

I just won't see eye to eye with you guys on the 05-09. That's fine it's a great car in its own right.

Not just because I had one but when I first saw the 05 I absolutely feel in love, had to have it and I did pay the markup on it. The 300hp and styling may not be so much now but back then it was very appealing to some or most people. I am hoping to get the same feeling from the 2015 and the GF already agreed to put the BMW up for sale if the 2015 is a knockout :-) Hopefully Ford comes through!

I saw real pictures and it looks a lot like this. More headlights in the housings and more driving lights.
