The other issue with our cars is the EPAS. People have reported going to the Boss rack and eliminating the problem completely.

Question for you guys. Have you ever looked over at the passenger seat with nobody in it while driving about 65-75mph? Does the entire seat shake? I just had my tires rotated and this weekend went on a 300 miles round trip and the rotation must have thrown off the vibration b/c now it's worse. The steering wheel shakes too but not a whole lot. That's livable. The seat vibration is enough to drive you half crazy though. I have a video of it but I haven't looked at it since I took it. It's very brief b/c I was driving down the interstate trying to capture it. I've often wondered if the boss rack would fix my vibrations too but I'm not willing to spend a grand to try. I'm going to get a balance soon and see if that helps. I might have been in a different spot before but now it's all in the seats and worse than before the tires were rotated. Sigh. Btw the Boss rack doesn't have any programming like the regular GTs do. There is a HUGE thread on s197forum about Vorshlag racing who had a 2011 Mustang GT with aftermarket front control arms installed with poly bushing and the steering went absolutely crazy. They replaced the stock steering rack with a Boss rack and it all went away.

Driveshaft replaced but the tech did not want to test drive it on wet roads today.

He is supposed to test drive it tomorrow.

I think I am officially detached from my car now...

The loaner Fiesta is starting to get comfortable...

Just shoot me now...

lol

Okay, question for the gurus.

How many RPM's is the driveshaft rotating at 50 MPH and 70 MPH with factory 19" wheels and 3.73 gears?

Also, how fast would one need to drive a car with 3.31 gears to achieve equal driveshaft RPM's?

I think you can see my point.

373 gears
50mph driveshaft is at 2295rpm
70 mph 3213rpm

331 gears
50mph 2036 rpm
70mph 2851 rpm

Tire Revs per mile X MPH /60 X gear ratio
the /60 is to get it from revs per hour to revs per minute.

Where did you get the tire revolutions per mile?

And the situation just got exponentially more interesting...

Expectedly, the drive shaft did not fix the problem. However, the field service engineer has instructed the dealership to replace the transmission. That is not at all what I was expecting.

The 2013 GT's have an MT82, correct? What about the 6 cylinder cars?

I have seen where they have done tranny swaps because of vibration issues but have not seen it fix it.

Yes the v 6 has an 82 as well

Does your passenger seat shake back and forth at about 65-80?

Well well... Guess what else is on national back order?

Leon (Ford Customer Service) says he can impact this issue and is working it.

We shall see.

Did they show you any graph or something stating that your tires were out of round or not balanced correctly? Im going to get my road force balanced tomorrow. Is it worth it?? It'll cost me $20 a tire. I guess every car is different.
