Not to get too far off in the weeds, but I have a question about the VCM II. I purchased one as well that should be here in a little over a week. Does it allow you to program the ECU/ ECM (sync module)
Next project will be to install SYNC into a non-sync car like this guy has done in this thread: http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-...e-model-7.html

Well I wanted a boss cluster and I got one lol....I can't believe how similar they are but the boss cluster can't do mycolor. Kinda weird tho, the color is like a blueish but when I was programming the cluster or when I was loading my tune(I can't remember) some of the speedo numbers changed to green so it looks like color can be changed.
I loaded my GT as built into the SJB/GEM I manually entered the codes and I tried it by doing the automatic update. I don't think the SJB needed updated since all I did was install a cluster but did it anyway per Zero.
I didn't try the Boss SJB as built since Trevor confirmed the boss has no mycolor so I thought that would be a waste of time.
Here is a pic of a self test that I ran....I have no idea what any of this means but seems like the car doesn't like something...Just seems like some kind incompatibility which shouldn't be a big deal.

You got it installed already?
Remember don't have PATS done until you get mileage reset .. or you will have to get PATS done again. Not sure if you ordered a VCM .. if you did then I guess it doesn't matter - you won't need to pay the dealer anyway.

No I just started it and swapped them over to check it out. I ordered the VCM. Will that let me change the mileage or will I still have to send it off?

Tousley quoted me $800ish shipped for a brand new 14 cluster. Then there is a $300 core replacement charge that would get refunded back when I send my base gauges back in. I verified with Mike at Tousley that my base gauges would count towards the core. He said they could set the mileage before they ship them out or something. Im going to order the new 14 gauges. Hopefully the my color and all works. He also said the buttons for the track apps was $19.
