The sticker had a bunch of blank lines where the renters could enter their best 1/4 mile time.

Something like:

This car is equipped with high performance brakes. Higher than normal pedal pressure may be required.

(I'd have to look at my car this afternoon to get the exact wording. The decal is gold with black writing).

OK, assuming I was correct (if not, just ignore this question)...

What was different about the roll bars on very early 1967 Shelbys versus the ones at the end of the production year?

all i know is that was the first year that they put a factory roll bar in the shelby... does that have anything to do with it? maybe a diff seatbelt harness or somthing??

Yes, that's it! On the early cars, the 4 point rollbar had an extra mounting plate (4 bolts) visible in the rear wheel wells.
