Well, in 1969 is was Ford MuscleParts program. I have 5 or 6 of the original catalogs. There was also the Ford Off-Highway program available at about the same time.

Autolite was originally the name used but switched to motorcraft in 1972.
WHy? Cause it sounded better and had a more robust sound to it. Autolite is now owned by honeywell

Half right - 1972 was the right year. The reason was that there was an anti-trust suit against Ford and they were made to sell off Autolite.
