I own a 67. Only thing was the GT500 had 4 headlights( I guess you could say 2 were fog lights). http://www.mustangspecs.com/carpics/67gt5001.jpg

Never thought about asking another. I have one for when I get another right.

OK, it was AndrewM's question and he said you were wrong with the '67 answer. '67 Shelby's did have lights in the grille, mounted in the center in early production and to the outside of the grille opening in the later '67's. However, Shelby's were still being built by Shelby in '67 not by Ford. Ford took over production in '68, but they still weren't built by Ford. Who built the '68 Shelby's? kennyg

Ford made base model in Metuchen, New Jersey and they were shipped to Iona, Michigan to get the fiberglass parts put on. The parts were made by A.O. Smith.

What Ford product was being designed as the new Mustang for 1989? It did go into production, but not as a Mustang. Enough Ford Mustang faithful raised such a stink that the establishment decided it wasn't such a good idea after all. But can you believe they even released a model called a GT! kennyg
