You're kidding right? The Vettte owners around here get along so well with each other they've split into three different clubs at last count.

RCSignals...no, I'm not kidding. In Virginia Beach there is one club (Beachcombers Club), but aside from that I think in the past 14 years that owned Vettes maybe, just maybe a handful never waved...of course I can't speak for where you live (nothing posted in your profile...i.e. your name, town, state, etc.)...perhaps you live in a large sprawling city and have a lot of diversity.

Well that's good to hear.

No it's not really a large sprawling city. Not even that many Corvette owners, they just have too many cliques.

Many of the Corvette owners seem to live up to the stereotype unfortunately, and i guess it has it's own sub groups .

Difference I see is Mustang owners still talk to each other, some what.

There is no difference although we like to think we are the most passionate and loyal followers because we are here, into it, and mostly the only game in town. I know and have known many from the dark side with high performance and sports cars. A tough crowd, competitive, knowledgeable, and very sociable. Would they be Ford enthusiasts they would be here raising all kinds of havoc. All in good fun.

We've had the advantage on Mopar and GM for obvious reasons, mainly lack of variety. Just wait until they have something to brag about. Then they'll be promoted to conceeded and obnoxious fanatics.

Hey everyone. I am glad this post generated a lot of heat but I just wanted to clarify that this first post above was not an atack on the 2008 Bullitt. In fact just today I visted Hall Ford in Newport News Virginia and I saw a clean black 2008 Bullitt sitting outside the dealer showroom floor.Right beside was a fully loaded 2008 GT/CS and beside that a Special Edition 2008 V-6 Pony. They all were looking hot and mean just like any Mustang should. I am not in the market for a new Ford, I just love Mustangs. Seeing the Bullitt inspired me to make a few bolt-on mods on my 2007 GT/CS that were long overdue. Flowmasters are ordered and 3.73 gears or 4.10 ( for the track) as well. Maybe this summer some headers and an X-pipe, too. On "any given Sunday" any car or driver can out run each other. I have been on the opposite end of the finish line at the track several times. On the street ( which is no place to race) I have seen VW Rabits and Subaru WSX's eat up anything in their paths.Fine for them. I like all fast cars but the Mustang is my primary interest not only because of my dad's 65' or my 83' or 86' or 1991 LX Convertible, but because they represent American Muscle and a tradition that allows them to be easily modified, raced and also shown among the best cars in the world. So I will continue to wait until the next "big thing" comes from FOMOCO rather it be a BOSS, a Shelby, a Cobra or a Bullitt or even a Mach 1 ( Go speed racer, GO!!!!)

Yes referring to the general car population you are correct. We are all passionate about the particular car we like.

I was talking about the local Corvette clubs that have split so many times. Some won't even go to a cruise in that the other club is attending as a 'Club'

I just find that odd.

Yeah. you are right Mustang Lynda.I just wanted to stir up a few opinions on the Bullitt and see where everyone's head was at. Now off to the after market I go looking for about 400 hp when all is said and done. I think I'll start small with some mufflers and then maybe even get a true fiberglass shaker hood with a functional air scoop. am sure you are proud of# 0837, are you planning any mods?

You shouldn't. It's the atmosphere of having to dislike, form factless perceptions, and have adversaries without good reasoning. I've come to the conclusion it would take less effort in finding the fountain of youth than figuring out why that is a constant.
