I agree. The question is which of the two accomplishes more.

Precisely. To be blunt the S197 doesn't need the amount of work that the SN95's did to accomplish the same kind of transformation. No question this is a much, much better car in every way than the 2001 was.

I'm hearing local dealers here plan to tack on about $10k ADM to their Bullitts - big . They better milk it while they can, I suppose. Would be even nicer to watch this strategy blow up in their faces.

That's unconscionable. Here in Vancouver, I asked my dealer if and when they were getting one. He said they had one on order, that there was no intention to mark it up...and, perhaps most significantly, that they had had ZERO enquiries about the Bullitt.

Hey Rhino, I don't mean to answer your question from Airwolf, but I was online this morning and saw he didn't reply. Let me know what options you want, and I can send you the D-Plan price.

I think you'll find that the new Bullitts will not be suffering from ADM's, but perhaps in large metro areas where demand would be higher. For the most part they will appeal to Mustang purists, most won't understand what the car is all about and not make any sense of the pricing that goes with it. Most people want the bling that comes with the added dollars. And that's good news for the people that really want one!

Highland Green, I think the Nav, HID's, and possibly the Sirius.

Thanks,
Justin

the bullitt is a sleeper, lean and clean...the money spent for development was done in all the right places: under the skin. no stripes, wings, badges...just a tweaked motor and suspension and 3.73 gears.

a couple of points: in some of the literature it's mentioned that the weight distribution is 50/50 and i'm curious as to what they did to get it to the "perfect" balance. also, i read the topend is 150mph...with3.73 gears? that sounds like a pipe dream to me...

You take out the nav, and you got a pretty nice car for the $$$$. Also, if you are going with Sirius, go after the fact, and mount the antenna in the back deck from the inside.

I was a bit of a hater early on but the Bullitt is growing on me. It sounds as though very few will be made in black--will those cars end up being the most valuable down the road ?

Nobody can say what will be valuable down the road, but a Black Bullitt would certainly be the lower production color. There have been very few cars made in the past 25 years that are worth any real money today.

Value and such is all in the eye of the buyer down the road. I personally think that anyone going after a Bullitt down the road would find a green one more valuable b/c it is the "correct" mustang color.

The DHG '01 BULLITT GT has done well with its resale value. Those with low mileage and well taken care of have done even better.

I like the dash it has. Anyone who buys one can wood it up themselves.
