Look for a $34K price tag

FRPP makes the difference on the Shelby GT which can also work on the above

err... 34k i was hoping for around 30-32k... and this is the starting price before adding leather and what not?? This would probably be the car of my dreams and many others but if it ends up that high im not sure. with upgrades ur lookin at 37-38 range for that money id rather just buy a bottom of the line gt500 (assuming i could get one) without any upgrades for 40.5k
chris
p.s. amy ignore some of the locals around Shelby is in my opinion at least an automotive legend and without his work towards the Mustang I must admit my support atleast would definately waver

On the colors, I would think history. I don't want to use colors that should be used for something more appropreiate

I am guessing that you cant get the white with blue stripes as maybe they are saving it for a GT350. And when will you have news for us about the 650 HP Shelby? One more question for ya Amy. A couple of years ago Ford did a AC Cobra retro that they were going to put out and then cancelled it for lack of interest. Is this something you guys might be working on? I would love to see that car come out. They did a fantastic job on it and I hope it finds its way to market

Hey Amy,...What do you know about a lighter, faster, lowered, meaner gt500 in a kr model for next year? Hopefully with more real carroll shelby influenced old school looks?! I wouldn't mine paying alittle more for that, especially if it'll beat the new z06!

I mean, I know we would all like to see them cheaper, but Mustangs just ain't cheap when it comes down to it. My GT vert stickered for over 35k!!

P.S. As for the locals, I would not knock them if I were you. Many of them are pretty sharp and all around knowledgeable. Even thought the Shelby GT is the best by far, there is no need to sugar coat anything. It's not a matter of not being complimentary, it is a matter of being realistic.

- Amy first off I think you have hit a home run. 100% retro as it should be! This is the look I was thinking the GT-H should have had. Obviously a real throwback to the GT-350 in modern form. PERFECTION!!!!
- I am hoping for more colors. At least vista blue or torch red with white stripes please! Personally I do not think gray or silver do a muscle car any amount of justice. Muscle cars are not about subtlety. They are bold, aggressive, vibrant, jump out at you and in your face vehicles. Car manufacturers fully understood this in the heyday of the 60's as it was rare to see them in anything but primary colors.
- I am hoping this car is no where near $35,000. Motor Trend stated $32,000 in the new issue with the GT-H and this is really the upper limits of where the car should be at. Since we are talking a base price here sin options anywhere near $35,000 is entirely too much. I will buy a 2008 Boss Mustang with 400HP for the same price or spend another $8,000 for a GT500. The car very realistically needs to be at least $10,000 cheaper then the GT500 for a modest 325HP.

Did I miss where there were only certain colors to be released in the Shelby GT?

A GT/CS can be had out the door for $29,070 Tres. It come with the 18in. Bullet wheels, IUP and a **** stunning 2 tone interior as part of the $1,895 upgrade. An extra $6,000 base price for 25 more horses and some suspension parts minus the great looking interior. I don't think so. I love Shelby's but no.
