Please add me as well.....

+1 on the list plz. I've noticed a few dents/dings on the condenser already......Can't believe the factory wouldn't include some kind of mesh/grill/etc. in this area on the CS/GTs.

I've been reading this thread - can't wait to see (and order) something before it gets co$tly for me.....

I hear you greg....Love-bug season killed me down there, I had to clean it out a couple times....and that lip serves as a scoop for anything on the road. Would hate to hit any animal or object and it get thrown straight into the condensor.

The pics below show what it looks like. I've got a spare GT lower grille and I'm working on building a light kit for it - but probably not for another month or so. Given the placement of the openings, I'll probably center the lights in the honeycomb areas. There's another thread going on about that approach:

My Dad has a 2007 Shelby GT. He ordered the lower grille from Shelbyauto and is due to receive it this week. I live in NC and he's in SC. He's not sure how to install it and wants to "go to the dealer" which I discouraged. He may be passing through in a few weeks so I have some questions:

1)Does this come with instructions?
2)Does this require drilling?
3)If no instructions, can someone give a step by step?

I'm sure if it doesn'r come with instruction, you can call Shelby (and the people that work there are on this board too) for step-by-step instructions.

Is your SN as in 2002 Porsche GT2?

I covered the billet grill with black door edging, I think I'll go back to the chrome and put the two intake scoops, one on each side instead of lower fogs.

Picked-up the lower grill here in Shelby warehouse. I am disappointed because it doesn't come with instruction and hardware ( screws ). the guy told me that they only made 100 of this prototype. Anybody here hav this on their GT/CS? How did you install this?

I got mine from Shelby just like you and no instructions or hardware. It's really a no-brainer anyway, just pop off the two honeycomb pieces (if you look behind the facia from underneath you will see how they just snap off). I held the grill in place with some cable ties looped thru the bars (pulling it forward to hold it in place) then drill four 1/8" holes thru the facsia and grill, put 4 5/8" self tapping screws in and covered them by snapping the honeycomb pieces back in place. Piece-O-cake. . .
see pics above....

Cool

While it doesn't quite match the upper grille it still looks good and will stop road debris from doing damage to the condenser

Have you got a part number for the lower grille you added?
Where can I get one?
Did you paint it black or did it come that way?

Inquiring minds that want to know.
Thanks
