Not sure if anyone saw this, but S.H.R just released a new honeycomb lower insert for the GT fascia, and while it says it won't fit ours, it does say they are working on one for the CS as we speak. Might be worth checking into...

That is good news. I've seen the GT version in person and it looks like a nice, high quality product.

Got a little more info today, looks like late summer for the GT/CS. I think I can wait a little while longer for a top quality product from S.H.R...

Dude, lately I've been missing things right in front of my nose! Next time, use a bigger stick, I'll get it at some point

Glad to see you're on it still Doug, like you, I'm trying to stay away from the straight lines and go more towards the honeycomb like the rest of the car.

lower shelby grill

I'm getting the black one from Shelby Parts,it looks better on a black GT/CS,but the grill could be painted any color you like, maybe if we all ask ( jacostang ) - Dave nicely,he will make us some cool looking GT/CS emblems to go on the lower grill ,got any ideals Dave ,

Black Shelby Lower Grill

I just installed the lower black grill from Shelby on my 2008 GT/CS. Take off the bottom pan 7 small silver hex screws. Pop out the 2 black plastic corner covers from underneath, they have 4 indented slots, easy to pop out with flat head screw driver. Line up lower grill in opening, mark the holes, then drill. I used a rivet gun through the front, the black corner covers will snap over the rivets, so you will not see them. I will try and post some pictures today. By the way, THE LOWER GRILL LOOKS AWESOME !!!!!!!!! Shelby makes a 1st class product !!!!!!

The Shelby lower grill does not affect my original factory ground clearance. No my grill is not on the ground. I will take some better pictures, I am just learning to use the camera. My wife explained to me the settings on the camera for different pixels. The next pictures will be better.

The other photos make it look like your bumper was about an inch off the ground

Just a quick head's up since this is the thread that got it rolling - we're working through the CAD design now, the original CS bumper gave it's life for scanning purposes since it was deemed that the CS is not part of Ford's Tech Transfer... that said, we scanned the whole thing via laser probe, so we've got a very nice model to work from. My original sketches are done and as soon as we've got modeling done, we'll go to the prototype stage. I'm still confident of a late summer release for this, and it will look and fit like OEM so it'll be another one of our products that doesn't even get noticed once it's installed, except by people that know their Mustangs

I'm about an hour away if you need to test fit some cars for this.
