will 2011 have the 5.0 for sure?? how sure?
I'd say its a thought and could be, but in the immediate future... I'd say no.
Probably like with DI for the 5.0L, we won't see those in the 2010-2014 gen.
The 3.5L and 5.0L are cost efficient for what they require and fill the requirement for the time being.

Don't get me wrong, I think it would be a good idea. We could use a 300hp v6 that gets 25+ mpg in the stang, but it is not currently in the cards for '10, '11, possibly 12... Hopefully we will see it in '13 or '14.
The ecoboost is currently targeted for mainsteam - Edge, Flex, Taurus, MKS, Fusion, etc. Let them get the bugs worked out before we make a sports car variant.

edit: Seems like good business planning to have a base v8, an SE and a shelby, understanding that the body will have been on the market a year, and they would be looking to "spice up" the sales. just my .02
