Where does the 2013 GT 5.0 get the extra 8 horsepower?

Why do you say that? There have been several stock 5.0's dyno tested, and 412 horsepower appears to be an accurate rating. Just because Ford lumps all of the improvements under the "lessons learned from the Roadrunner (Boss) program" umbrella, and doesn't list them individually, that doesn't mean there weren't modifications made to the engine's internals. I'm sure we'll all learn soon enough when certain shops around the country get their hands on the 2013 GT Mustangs.
I don't think it's secrecy so much as a lack of publication of the details just yet. Hopefully at the NAIAS they dive a little further into the '13 car and explain things better.
