Went autocrossing yesterday, both my fiancee and I, with both cars.
Rained in the morning, dried up somewhat in the afternoon, autocrossing in the wet on drag radials is nowhere near the fun that some might expect, hahaha ...
Cars that were spotless a few days ago are now filthy.
I should take some pics just to give some of you guys heart attacks, LMAO
Pictures and videos from the event, coming up.

Well, here's the 3rd run of the day, the last run I was able to record before the freakin GoPro's battery died on me.
I had a total of 10 runs during the day, I started with a 96.048-second run, 2nd was 96.043, this run was 91.739
In the afternoon on a much drier track I got it down to 85.68 seconds, good enough for 5th place in a 15-car Novice class. That 5th place got me a t-shirt that says on the back "When I race, cones fear me"
And a few pictures from yesterday's event:
Oh, and Burton, a pic of the dirt on the car after I removed the painter's tape off my driver's door:

Good Lord. Looks like I'll never be autocrossing for that reason. Ok, really, I don't autocross for other reasons
I know, right??? The nerve!!!

Have fun! I might try it at the street machine nationals this summer. They have a small track that anyone who has a car in the show can try out. My brother has always been bugging me to try but I've never had the nerve.

Looks like fun Gabe...good driving.
Nathan...I wouldn't waste my time on that little track at the Street Machine Show...ya can't even get close to stretching them out. Take her up to BIR for one of the driving schools and really learn your car and your abilities. Just because it's a full-on race track doesn't mean you have to go any faster than your nerve or wallet will allow! You're there to have fun and learn performance driving and your limits...or the cars. I garantee you will not find the limits of the car if you're a complete novice! Gary Curtis is the school manager...give him a call!
