These 63 year old bones are feeling it tonite. Part of my detail week routine is to get a tune up at the chiro before I get started on the car. And I've already made an appointment for Friday.

The things we do for our Mustangs, ya know?

Very true...

Preventative maintenance is important for our cars and for ourselves...

Oh wow, is this a thing we all need to be doing? What will this help with?

It's about time!! Front plates really ruin the look of these cars

I just did a minor wash and spray wax last night and I'm feeling it today!

LOL! Patrick is right, not many! I have about 7500 miles on it, but definitely already have wrinkles in the drivers seat... It's mostly on the door side bolstering. But seeing as though the other seats don't get used much (passenger side is rare and the back seats, pretty much never), they still look great!

Oh, I knew what I was getting into when I ordered the car! LOL! The last few Mustangs I have had have had the leather and it's a love/hate relationship... I think it's just the quality of materials though, cause our Mini, which also has leather, has almost 70k miles on it and is used daily and the seats still look **** near perfect!

I have to admit, I'm still a bit jealous of people with leather. Maybe some day in the future I can buy GT Premium door panels and have the existing seats covered in a better quality leather by a custom shop. Wonder how much that would cost though

When I had it done in '05, it was like $1000 to $1200, I want to say... It's not *super* expensive, especially since you get WAY better materials... And you can choose what colors/style you want, which is nice... And usually, you can sell the OEM covers to people with cloth seats that are looking to upgrade!

It's not the best pic, but here's the custom seats that I had got in my '05 Mustang:

Do you clean and condition your seats?

Not really, but it's nice to have individual fluids for the individual systems

This is a great mod for cars that get tracked a lot. As the fluid warms up due to heave braking use (especially when it's wet) you get less clutch performance since the reservoir is shared between the clutch and master cylinder. I haven't experienced this effect yet with RBF600 fluid, but then again I haven't tried doing a track say in the wet.

And to contribute to the thread, I took mine out of the garage and drove it for the first time in 4 months! Not winter anymore!

Detail week Round 2 in the books. Polished, waxed, glass done, conv top scrubbed and cleaned, trunk gutters and deck lid underside spotless. I deviated from my norm on the waxing. Normally I use Meguiars pro grade liquid applied with my buffer, but opted instead for hand applied Mequiars hard Carnuba and used the DA to buff. I like the results.

Round 3 tomorrow: engine bay, wheels/tires, interior and all the little nooks and crannies that I can reach. Hopefully Thursday I can install the CAI.
