Let's be realistic.....anything we consider "played out" looks cool to 90% of everyone else.

This goes for the murdered out look, AMRs, stripes etc.

The general public just sees a bad *** car.

I would get #1 in this list. NOBODY would park even close to me with those rims. Heck... no one would even think to steal them lol.

Any one of those wheels would make rims with spinning centers look cool!!!

Yeah, the back is better...not 100%...but I've learned to pace myself and give it a rest. I still can't do a proper detailing all in one day; instead I have to spread it out several hours at a time and over a couple of days. No big deal. I'm just glad I can work on it. Where there's a will, there's a way. Despite the hassles of black, I really enjoy keeping it spiffy. It's my Zen moment. Thank you for asking.
LOL
Thanks Tom. Glad you're feeling better. Sometimes it's good to stay loose and stretched out. Take care!

Nothing "going on," just bored seeing everyone want to have the same wheels. Then when people post pics it's like seeing the exact same car over and over again, in different colors. Just like when they were stock lol. Yeah, to everyone else out there, they all look the same, but we car enthusiasts are not "everyone else."

Again, JMO of course. If you guys all want to have the same wheels, I can't stop you...YMMV

My two cents, I would flip if someone across the street copied me, so I get where Patrick is coming from. However I do like when people at car shows come up and ask me about some of my one off custom jobs, and I share with them how it was done and who did it. They can't match my car because it has too much of what I like.
I took a girl to the American Muscle show with me, it was her first show. Her take away was that out of 3,000 Mustangs, not one was the same. My response to her was "that's what we do, all of us, and that's pretty cool".

Exactly. I much prefer my custom powder coated wheels to my first set. No one else will have them the way I did them.

Awesome! Can you post more pics of the dash so we can see the whole thing? How hard was it to disassemble the dash pieces?

There are always something like this - only 1200.00 a piece. Probably not too many around.

Haha trust me I looked at HREs. I almost tried to justify them to myself. To me, there's a huge gap between cheap wheels and too expensive wheels.

That was just the basic cost too - nothing special done to them - finish, paint etc. Amazing people have the money to spend on something like these.

I am glad I am happy with my stock wheels. I just have to keep them looking in good shape. If I wanted to buy a new one from Ford - they are $1,018 a piece. Not to many being sold out on the market from owners upgrading either.

Pretty awesome Matt.
I assume you have a Lund tune with either Whipple or Roush supercharger?

thanks man! The drivers side is very easy to get apart. Pretty much just pull, and the chrome trim pieces have a few clips to pop off. I did not do the passenger side yet. The shifter and center piece just pop off as well. Yes, Mustangs are a dime a dozen and it's hard to be unique, but I know I am literally the only S197 with my wheels because I had them custom powdercoated, and it didn't even cost me that much to have an idea and follow through with it.

I think the Internet has really made it hard to be unique, and I'm sure you'd never see another Mustang with your wheels around your area, but the online community is much more broad, so I'd rather not see pics all over the forums and Instagram with other Mustangs having my exact same wheels. I want to leave a mark on this community and have everyone remember me for those little details, not blend into the crowd.

Just sayin...
I have to agree, which is one reason why I got my Laguna Seca. It's tiring to see the same car with the same wheels and the same glue in body panels and plasti dipped everything when you go online and on car forums. Sure, when you get out in the real world, these mods be less common but just seeing them all the time sort of makes them lose their pizzaz IMO. The reason why these things are so common is because they look good and when they aren't local to you I can see the temptation in grabbing them. Me, I plan on grabbing some Forgeline G1AR's and putting them on my car when I can save up the money for them which will take a couple of years at the least. Forget about tires that just makes them even more unobtainable but oh well.

What did you use for that, the Roush vent pod or does it sort of sit right there? I have been thinking of grabbing one for when the car is done.
