Any more details or specifics to the "stop ship"? Our car has been done for about three weeks now, and sitting at ramp 5P. We are so anxious to see some movement!

What I find so frustrating about this is the lack of information from Ford. My ETA was today. No car and the dealer has no idea where it is at. I called Ford customer service and am told the same thing. I cannot believe in this day and age that a $40,000 vehicle is not tracked to the nth degree.
This is totally unacceptable and shame on Ford for not doing better. This was the first Ford I have purchased and I thought it might be the first of several. I will think long and hard before purchasing another Ford product just because of the lack of information on this purchase. Deysha seems to be working her tail off but beyond that who at Ford really cares? Just one name.

My car was 100 miles from the dealer Tesday and today I got no response from the dealer,,I am just praying they can get it ready for me and keep my new ETA of 5/15. I leave the next morning for a week and will not be happy if I dont get it before I go,,cant imagine leaving it there for a week!

Unfortunately this is one club I do not want to belong to. My dealer is clueless. They said Ford is so much better than Chevy (they are also a chevy dealer) with customer updates. Went on to say they have an Equinox on order and it is a 16 week wait. My point to them is don't compare yourself with the worst but compare yourself with the best. They don't get it.

My ETA has been pushed back to next sat(5/14) now but at least its on the way to me at the deep arctic outpost of Charleston SC. I ordered from Palmetto Ford just down the road from Jones. The guy who sold me the car was fired/quit the week after my order so my experience has been less than stellar, but at least its almost over.

It sounds like they held things up to check on a possible problem. Whether its the Brakes from the MT article on the BOSS or some other issue I dont fault FORD for trying to do the right thing. I am just frustrated after waiting so long. I asked FORD in Dec when to order if I wanted it by Mid April. They said late Jan. So I ordered 1/3 just to give it some cushion. I wanted to take the car on a trip Im taking on 5/16. My ETA is 5/15....now don't know if I will even see the car before I leave

I agree with you. It is almost like pulling teeth to get any information. What Ford should have is a website where you could enter the VIN and, at the very least, get a fairly accurate Build and Arrival date.

"I had just sat down to my computer to let you know "The Eagle has landed". They just took the car off the truck and I have been back to the body shop to see if they can get the grill and foglights on today. It should be no problem, and hopefully later this afternoon I can let you know all is ready.
