VIN, Build, Delivered: The 2012 Edition
I'm out of the waiting pool! We just drove an hour to a top dealership to buy a 2011 at an excellent deal! lots o' rebates. We pick up on Monday...and stop for a fresh baked pie on the way home!
Can't belive that black stripe we didn't want on the pony package comes off! But i think we'll leave it..
The other manager finally admitted we were looking at 2 or 3 more months for our 2012. He was mad he was going to lose our business but we can't wait that long! the 2011 was built in December so that's not tooo old..

There's a ton of orders for cars and the process takes a while to get through.

Your order, like mine and many others is a retail order.

Here we go again,,seems ford ironicly has too many mustangs piled up although our retail orders are not filled. this is because the "OK to buy" wasnt achieved before they started filling retail orders. Now they will shut down for at least a week. Unreal

As hard as it is to wait - and remember, I'm driving a '97 Civic sedan until my new baby gets here - I'd rather have a car that was through whatever QC Ford felt was necessary than one of the first ones off the line. I couldn't put more than 1/10 of a gallon of gas at a time in my '05 because of the fuel tank problem.

I feel your pain.
The Civic is in pretty good shape for 230k miles, but I really hope my 'stang gets here before air conditioner season starts or I'll have to choose between comfort and "power". Such as it is...
