It seems like all the 2010 orders and January orders are going to be built in April along with some Feburary. I am wondering if anyone knows when Ford started building the 2012... And how many cars on estimate do they crank out of Flat rock a day?

2012's were supposed to start in the middle of January but there was a delay and then they re-prioritized the build order. I think something like 2/8/2011 is when they actually started production but I'm not 100% sure. That seemed to be the consensus on another thread I was reading on here. Ill add a link if I find it.

Deysha, does the second "ETA date" refer to when it should arrive at the dealership?

Hope it it holds. Mine's been pushed out 3 times so far. Was week of March 28, then scheduled to day April 4th, now scheduled to week April 11. I think the usual suspects are at play here (parts shortages-probably another 5.0 parts shortage so this might effect all GTs and not so much the V6s) and the unusual suspect will probably come into play the longer it drags on (components/materials from Japan). I suspect it will get bumped back again. Oh well, it's out of my control.

 

Its been a long wait for many! Production was supposed to start 1/18/11. It was pushed until 2/8(approx) then but the "OK To Buy" was not achieved for another week or so I believe. when it was they filled all stock orders before retail orders were filled. there was also the Magna plant fire (where headliners and such are built) which shut down AAI for a week and there were several other part shortage delays so here we are! Now that things are up and running and retail orders are being filled as long as dealer has allocation, order should take 6-8 weeks. Key word=SHOULD

It's a really good day. My dealership hasn't been very communicative since I ordered. I always had to follow up with them and it's always taken a day or two for them to get back to me.
I wasn't that worried about the 2012 because I knew they would eventually start moving and there's nothing wrong with my 2010. But I received an email today that was so nice to read...

Nah, you ordered yours almost two months ahead of me. If anyone gets pushed it should be mine. Besides who would want to upset someone with a name like Big Vito?

So now that our build dates are getting near, how do we verify they have actually been built? And is there a way to track them between the factory and the dealership?

Where are people going to track their VIN and get their window sticker?

My build date is 4/18, ETA 4/20 (which seems odd).
