Was at my dealer today to sign the Costco rebate papers and picked up a hard copy brochure. They must have just got them because I was there on Wednesday and they had nothing.

Dealer called and left a message this morning sounding like he had some good news! Called him back and left a message, and waiting for his return call.

Dealer called today to inform me build date is 4/25. Sounds way too optimistic, so it's probably BS. But I'll just have to wait and see.

 

Woo!! Order has been sent to plant! Should get my build week and ETA this week!!

 

Interesting you all said this. My dealer emailed me that the build is scheduled for 25 April. Excellent news indeed. This is a good deployment leave gift to me. Hopefully the delivery will be relatively close too.

 

Window stick just showed up on a Saturday no less. Ordered on 3/14. I hope the gates for the back orders is wide open! Looks like they got the order right.

Educate me! At the Bottom, Center of the Window Sticker it says: BC281 N RA 2X 220 001344 03 28 11. I assume that means the order was received on 3/28? Then, at the top left, it says: FLR-001344 0R 120110411. I further assume that means build week is 4/11? OMG, that's Monday! And to think, I only ordered this (actually a 2011) on 10/08/10. 6-months yesterday. Can anyone beat that? My wife's birthday is 4/13 - you don't think?????????? She'll probably be jealous! I've got a really nice 06 GT in the FOR SALE section if you know of anyone that's looking?

120110411-Apparently the 1 at the beginning means it's about to be produced. When produced changes to a 2. 2011-04-11-that is you build date. I think thats when it starts down the line. 32 hours later and you have a car. The blend number is the the order it goes down the line (I think that goes by the week).

What is you blend number? Just curious if my theory is right. My build day is 04-14 and my blend is 1602. You should have a very low blend number if my theory holds water.

 

My car is another "120110411", and my blend number is 0307. Do they run 400+ cars a day down the line? I have no idea if that's a realistic number or not.

 

My windows sticker popped up last night (such a relief). I have a build date of 4/18 (Monday) and a blend number of 2835. So perhaps it resets on the first of the month.

 

Its all making sense now!

 

So now that I finally have my window sticker which confirms my build date of 4/18, I'm wondering how close the ETA dates are to when people have actually picked up their car. My ETA is 5/2, which seems like a pretty conservative estimate to me, but what do I know?

 

One variable would be the distance the dealer is from the flat rock plant. I also have a build date of 4/18, blend # 2816. My est. delivery date is 4/28, both from the dealer and when I called Ford customer service last week. I'm in the Louisville area.Transportation method is convoy. Is that a big rig or would it say rail for train?

There are a couple of Ford plants in town and the trains carry a LOT of trucks out of there to other locations. There is a also a big train loading depot just to the east o the town. Every time I fly into Louisville from the east. it's the brightest lights to the east of the town. So you could in fact have both a train and truck transport method.

 

My Blend# is 0224, to go along with my Build Date of 4/11.

After 14 weeks of waiting, my window sticker finally popped TODAY! I was in Hawaii for 2 weeks on my honeymoon, so I wasn't really following too closely, but I was rescheduled to 4/15 as many others were also rescheduled from April 4th. ETA of 4/22, but we shall see. One week seems too quick...although the plant is just down the road. Salesguy didn't seem to sure about the date either. Either way, I am excited again.

My blend number is 2382 if that helps those of you that are trying to figure it out.

I hope everyone else waiting from the "pre-order" dates is scheduled or will be soon.

Ordered 2/4. Dealer says ETA 5/4.
Sticker says 120110418 Blend 2828
