My thoughts exactly. I helped one of my buddies install LCAs on his '12 GT Auto and we took it onto some of the twisty back roads to road test it. I was...disappointed. He's got 80 HP on me w/ his 5.0 and yet his car felt so much slower than my 4.6 manual.
Don't get me wrong...his car's fast and I don't doubt it'd take mine on the track. Pulling out of those corners made him nauseous. But nothing beats the feeling of a manual.
Then again, that heavy *** clutch got old real fast on my 12 mile commute (~50% stop and go) to the point I got a '13 Focus for a DD. But it's a manual too

I have an auto trans in my '11 GT/CS, which is my DD, and a 4-speed Muncie in my '79 trans am.
I live in SoCal with heavy traffic, so I prefer my auto for daily commutes. I prefer a stick in a 'weekend car'. Drive whatever suits you best, and to hell with what anyone says about it.

I am SURE i can burn out my first gear, i can chirp second and third gear with my V6 which is impressive. not sure autos can put down that type of power from a V6 auto
the GT are different story. i would probably get an auto considering how much power they have.... ..... likely not.
