Have had the auto on a 2011 and a 2012. For a daily driver, I personally think it is a good choice if driving in a lot of traffic and a lot of starts and stops!
Good luck in your choice!

I daily drive my manual trans car every day, it doesn't bother me at all!
And my last daily driver was an auto, but the clutch is so easy it's not a big deal to me anyways!
Plus the manual trans car is just more fun to drive and normally they have better resale value down the road.

It's great to have one of each. Shifting in traffic can get real old, especially bumper to bumper, day in and day out. I rarely take my Mustang to Atlanta just for that very reason. On the other hand when I feel like some serious 'twisties' mountain driving the Mustang's 5 speed is the car of choice.
Of course it's up to you.

I would say manual, but I say it tongue and cheek right now; as I am not too happy with our MT-82 (with 7,700 miles). Generally though I love to row gears, especially when they have functioning synchros...

My daily is an automatic. My green machine is a manual. I like both.
It's all personal preference.

It's kind of funny but when I get in our Fusion with an automatic I find my self going for the clutch that's not there. Ya I'm probably the only one.

Like the others have said, it's a matter of personal preference. I sold my Honda S2000 (obviously a stick) when I bought my Mustang (the SelectShift auto). I don't miss the stick and have found that the SelectShift lets me pick a gear when running twisty roads or going uphill. So I can shift when I want to and I don't have to shift when I don't want to. I'm very happy with my auto and have no regrets.

Manual, I like to drive my car. Much better experience than riding in it.
Also i get so much more out of it at the track, it's very satisfying rowing my own and trying different shift points and launches.
If all I did was hit the gas and hold on I wouldn't have fun.

The 2013-14 Mustang has one of the best automatics I've ever driven. It's built very strong and has good shift logic. And, you can manually shift it if you want to play around.

I was regretting getting an auto for a while, though i need it for a few reasons. But lately ive been playing around more and more with the selectshift feature and i gotta say, im now totally satisfied with the auto. I love the ability to control the gears when i want to, or switch to sport mode, or just be lazy/heavy traffic with regular auto. Best of both worlds imo.

This is my first "auto" Stang. Chose auto, so the Mrs could also drive it. Was skeptical at first, but with my exhaust, CAI and tune, it takes off like a scolded cat! No regrets at all. Let the haters hate....! Do what is best for you.

I wish mine was manual for the pleasure of banging the gears but.....the wife wanted me to get an auto in case she ever has to drive it (been 20 years since she drove a stick) and I have heard there are problems with the MT-82 breaking.
